Puro pang-encouragement na verse ba alam mo? Ito bigyan kita bago. Don't praise God when it's only about blessings, praise Him even if it means suffering.

The first reason why He's being cruel to us is to teach us a lesson that we can not walk alone. May mga tao kasing feeling strong kaya sinalubong mag-isa yung alon, kaya ayun natangay. God wants us to depend on Him, kasi hindi naman tayo diyos na hindi napapagod, tao tayo, okay? God was like, "I'll teach this kid a lesson, geez, he's walking again on his own. How many times do I have to tell him that he can not do this alone? So stubborn!" Gigil mo si God e.

The second reason why we suffer is because God wants to redirect our path. Kapag alam na Niyang nasa maling daan ka na, magbabagsak siya ng malaking bato sa harapan mo para tumigil ka sa paglalakad, mapalingon sa likod, at ma-realize mong kailangan mo nang baliktarin ang damit mo kasi naliligaw ka na. Tapos susunduin ka na ni God at sasabihing, "You're on the wrong path again! You must be very careful on your journey because there are ways that look right but there's harm at the end. Where's your Bible? I said read your Bible because that is your map so you'll never get lost. Let's go."

The third and last reason I know is to forge us into a stronger metal. Nilalagay tayo ni God sa apoy para maging mas malakas at ma-immune tayo rito. Hinuhulma niya tayo bilang isang matalas na espada na kayang hiwain ang lahat ng problemang sasampal sa atin. So, kapag may dimunyung sumulpot sa harapan mo tapos binugahan ka ng apoy, mapapasabi ka na lang ng, "I'm sorry demon, but I'm built in fire."

And yes He's a cruel God, but in a good way. If God wants us to suffer, edi go.
