This is like the second comic now where Linus has been called fat. I don't know why they keep going back to this one, but I don't actually hate the jokes. They're not mean-spirited or anything, they're pretty silly. And I don't mind assuming Linus is one of the heavier characters in the comic. Why not? It's something that can almost be nice representationally.
Linus is back to drawing in the air, I see. I remember they explored him doing this before, but now he's older and more talkative. So they might as well show off his return to the craft.
I still love when Linus does this. I almost want to try it. The sweeping motions of the arms really do look quite fun. I think it could be quite an enjoyable activity. It might make me look weird, but I really do think it sounds kind of fun.
Linus is amazing, and I do love this attitude. We all need to love openly and unconditionally. It's not always easy to do, but we really could all benefit from it. Love is the one thing we always could do with more of. Well, more food for the starving and homes for the homeless and care for those without it would be nice too. But love kind of encompasses all of that, in my opinion.

You know, he's right. That blanket probably would keep him from going into the army. But I think that's undeniably a good thing. I hope I never have to go into the army either.
Part one of a saga where Lucy forces Linus to give up his security blanket. I feel bad for Linus, because he hadn't done anything to deserve this. He just warned the ire of his wrathful sister. I know I'm one to talk (being an only child with no friends besides my dad), but stories like these are why I don't always feel bad about not having a sibling. Maybe having one would've been good for my loneliness, but we don't know. There's no point to hypotheticals, and sibling relationships in fiction do sometimes make me feel weird. This story is one of those times, I think.
Also, I love Linus telling Charlie Brown: "How would you look if your entire nervous system was shot!?" It's a good question, and the answer is probably that you'd look like me. I'm only being slightly hyperbolic, because my nervous system really is shot most of the time.
If there was a book full of Linus and his deeply philosophical musings about old nursery rhymes, I would read that. It'd really be fascinating to me.
