Harbour’s Greened: a Vancouver Waterfront artful revitalization (slideshow video) Reading between the lines, “Line of Work” (2009) ~ by Jill Anholt, Jill Anholt Studio. @jillanholtstudio “A memorial for British Columbia workers composed of text-etched laminated wood and stainless steel, captures the energy of a wave as a metaphor for the growing diversity of the province’s workforce. Located along a pedestrian walkway west of the new Vancouver Convention Center, the work folds out of the green roof of the building, reaching upwards and outwards over the pathway to envelope viewers into its form.” ~ Jill Anholt, #artiststatement “Line of Work”- #publicart #installation completed September 2009, prior to The 2010 Winter Olympic Games (jointly hosted by metroVancouver & Whistler, BC) #memorial #lineofwork #vancouverart #artwalk #throwbackthursday Shot #onlocation at #coalharbour w/then new #seawall extension (on western side) Vancouver Convention Center West, Vancouver, BC (designed by LMN Architects, Seattle) at Harbour Green Park #harbourgreenpark #downtownvancouver * Day shots by @smallstudiodesign w/ Sony Ericsson smartphone.
