02/327: I had the oppourtunity to hike to the Chiang Dao summit this weekend and it was beautiful. The processes and bureaucratic mess to actually get on the mountain was definitely worth the hassle after seeing the sun set and rise over the vast array of young peaks and impenetrable green. Along with the hike, hearing the dead silence that accompanies freezing mornings, while waiting for the sunrise, was something I've been missing having not been in winter for a few years.
