Don't ask why this took so long, I don't know. (but it's Limedew's first appearance lmao)
First look at the Magpie's Nest! It's a ring of trees where the clans buried Loachpaw after they searched and discovered his body :( The clan and the magpies chose to honor him.

FINALLY made my own Clangen after being obsessed with everyone elses lol
Hi! I'm Bluejay.
Anyways, welcome to Magpieclan! They're an extremely new clan that stem from a long line of loners who lived in a group called The Magpies. They, obviously, worshipped magpies, and much like how when clan cats die and go to Starclan, when Magpie cats die they become a magpie, which enables them to guide their descendants even after death. However, as the world around The Magpie's grows increasingly unsafe and dangerous, the magpie's chose Thorn as their prophet and led him to the clans, telling them to make a home and protect their future.
Now that they've settled, they find it difficult to adjust. Not only will they have to start accepting other colored cats, as they were usually comprised of only black, blue, and white cats, as per the colors of a magpie, (they would offer other cats help regardless but they wouldn't be able to stay for long, since the Magpie's constantly moved around), but they also have to struggle with the fact that no future generations of Magpieclan will become magpie's. As the second that Magpieclan was accepted by Starclan, the previous magpie's were barred from entrance, and any living cat who died would not be able to gain their feathers. Now the magpies live lonely lives in the sky, unable to reach the stars of their children.
Character descriptions under the cut!
Midgestar, the leader chosen by Magpieclan's feathered ancestors. His paw was burned by a twoleg's fire as a young kit, another one of the dangers that caused Magpieclan to settle. Unlike other leaders, Midgestar is the closest connection to Starclan that Magpieclan has, despite not being the medicine cat. This is because Thornspots spiritual connection is tied to the magpies, which makes it increasingly complicated for him to reach Starclan.
Hayember was chosen by Magpieclan to be their deputy. As the only she-cat in the group of clan founders, she feels constantly anxious about proving herself. Not only that, but she has yet to completely understand what her role means. Additionally, she struggles with the fear that she will be alone when she dies. All of her family are magpies, and she had always thought she'd reunite with them after death, but now that's no longer the case. Regardless, she is loyal to her clan.
Thornspots is the chosen messenger for the magpies. Twice a moon he visits their nesting grounds, a clearing not too far from the edge of Magpieclan territory. It was Thornspots that led them to their new home. Regardless of this feat, he struggles with the fact that he may never be able to reach Starclan until the day he dies, and that sets him apart from all the other medicine cats.
Limedew is the last of the true clan founders. He truly struggles with adjusting his traditions and beliefs, but regardless believes that the magpie's will do what is best for their children, him and the clan included, so he tries to be open-minded. Like the rest of Magpieclan, he fears for what comes after death. Midgestar speaks of a star-filled territory in the sky where the clan will go after death, but nothing will fill the hole of being seperated from his family for eternity.
The first two cats to join Magpieclan were a young tom and his little brother. Midgestar, Hayember, and Thornspots found the two when scouting their new territory. Faithpaw, Faith at the time, was sheltering his little brother, Bumble, with tears falling down his face as he recounted the story, through his sobbing, of his mother being hit by a car. Midgestar, although hesitant, was about to send the two to another clan, per The Magpie's tradition of only accepting black, blue, and white cats, when Thornspots demands he stops. The medicine cat directed his attention to a flock of magpies passing by, and with them were two brown sparrows. Thus, Midgestar happily accepted Faithpaw and Bumblekit into their clan, naming Faithpaw as his own apprentice.
Lastly, a couple days after Faithpaw and Bumblekit where found, Thornspots discovered a young tomkit on the edge of their territory. Not wanting to abandon him, Thornspots waited by his side for a parent or guardian to arrive and claim him. But, as the sun set, he realizes no one was coming and took Podkit back to Magpieclan.
