The Followers of the Magpies

FINALLY made my own Clangen after being obsessed with everyone elses lol

Hi! I'm Bluejay.

Anyways, welcome to Magpieclan! They're an extremely new clan that stem from a long line of loners who lived in a group called The Magpies. They, obviously, worshipped magpies, and much like how when clan cats die and go to Starclan, when Magpie cats die they become a magpie, which enables them to guide their descendants even after death. However, as the world around The Magpie's grows increasingly unsafe and dangerous, the magpie's chose Thorn as their prophet and led him to the clans, telling them to make a home and protect their future.

Now that they've settled, they find it difficult to adjust. Not only will they have to start accepting other colored cats, as they were usually comprised of only black, blue, and white cats, as per the colors of a magpie, (they would offer other cats help regardless but they wouldn't be able to stay for long, since the Magpie's constantly moved around), but they also have to struggle with the fact that no future generations of Magpieclan will become magpie's. As the second that Magpieclan was accepted by Starclan, the previous magpie's were barred from entrance, and any living cat who died would not be able to gain their feathers. Now the magpies live lonely lives in the sky, unable to reach the stars of their children.

I imagine that Faithpelt saw Midgestar hanging around with Marsh and, with the idea that befriending outsiders was okay, got a lil' too close to someone lol Anyways, Faith's kits names are Rindlekit, Riftkit, and Mumblekit (in order as they're drawn)

Our first arrival! Marathon :) Similar to Faithpelt and Bumblekit, he also breaks the Follower of Magpie's traditions by being a brown cat! Limedew has the hardest time adjusting to this change, but is nonetheless just as willing as everyone else to see it through!

This is normally out of character for both Thornspots and Hayember, but Thorn is frustrated at his lack of connection to Starclan and Hay is frustrated at the fact that she is no longer certain in her beliefs of the afterlife, with how Starclan is such a new force that she is unfamiliar with, and because Thorn isn't taking her seriously.

They both regret what they said and eventually apologize to each other (it takes like five minutes for the realization to hit lol) Hay apologizes for her hurtful words and comments that Thorn has other important roles, like being the bridge between the clan and the magpies, and Thorn talks with her about her dream and Starclan. Also, they've been friends for a long while, with Midge, Hay, and Thorn all growing up as Followers of the magpies.

Fun fact! Magpieclan and their ancestors have a long held tradition that prevents them from hunting, hurting, or killing birds. However, magpie feathers are given as gifts to friends and loved ones and are a symbol of love, friendship, and appreciation. The magpies themselves will sometimes gift living cats with their feathers, or a living cat with gather already shed feathers, but they will never forcefully take the feathers from a magpie.
