Hey guys! I know I haven't been posting a whole lot about shows I've gone to recently (and by that I mean I haven't posted about shows in like a month), but that doesn't mean I haven't been going! I've seen so many wonderful performers in the last month+. The amount of shows I have gone to is crazy, and if you told me a year ago that I would be doing this, I wouldn't have believed you. My lack of posting is mostly due to the frequency that I've been at shows and out late and then going to work because my job owns my life. I've had some incredible experiences recently though! I got to see Spring Awakening which several of my drag queen friends were in, and then the following night my friend Ruby was invited to the cast party and took me and another friend of ours along. I had so much fun that night. It was crazy. I cannot believe how comfortable I was partying (!!!!!) with all these people I hardly knew/just met. It was unusual for me, but it was a beautiful thing! The evening after that, I watched a drag competition at the local bar that I go to every week. I saw Ruby Stone (@queertobe ) at her debut performance at Somewhere in Lima, Ohio last night! I was so incredibly excited to see her perform. I also got to see Cora Halloway and her fiancé! Post-show, we (Ruby, her boyfriend, two of our friends, and I) all went to IHOP where we managed to run into Cora and her crew of Toledo queens who were grabbing food before going back to Toledo. There were jokes thrown between tables (as well as paper and shade). And of course, there has been no shortage of Amber Stone in my life. Amber gives me so much life every time I see her. I love her so fucking much, and I don't think I would be the person I am right now if it weren't for watching her perform. I'm planning a surprise to give back to her in a way, but that is still a few months in the making. April is going to be more insane than March has been for me, so my lack of pictures/videos/posts about my local queens will probably continue through April (there are so many good shows and pageants coming up!).
