What seemed like the entire afternoon, the interview had finally come to it's conclusion. Sallie knew what came next; the proverbial we will call you, thanks for interviewing with us, bullshit. Sallie was elated when she heard something she was certainly not expecting.

LILY FENG / "Okay, Miss Baker. This was very interesting. I like to know about who is working for me, and I think you will make a great asset to Feng Industries. I will call down to HR and let them know you are to start on Monday the 24th. Come in that morning at 8:30 and go to HR and they will go from there. Welcome and I hope this is a great beginning to what I feel will be a great starting point for your career."

SALLIE / "Thank you Ms. Feng for this opportunity, you will not be disappointed."

LILY / "Actions are more powerful than words, dear, but I would not have said yes if I thought I would be disappointed."

Day Nine - Leo Harper & Lily Feng

Leo: I thought you’d have crueler intentions. Lily: So does everybody.

As day nine comes to a close, Lily decides to use the blackmail picture she took of Leo to her advantage. She invites him to a midnight dance party. Leo seems surprised she wasted it on this, but it’s not a waste to Lily. She’s never felt so free and true to herself as she’s felt at the New Penelope. Maybe this is the start of a budding friendship?

When Lily Feng stepped out of her office, Sallie's anxiety fell away. She became focused and confident. Something about a woman in her position gave Salle the confidence to know she could be anything she wanted to be.

LILY FENG/ "Miss Baker? Good afternoon, come on in, we need to chat. Veronica, could you get me my afternoon coffee, please? Miss Baker, you need anything?"

SALLIE/ "No thank you I am fine."

They went into her office, which was much smaller than what Sallie imagined she would have. She told Sallie to have a seat. Once Veronica brought in Lily's coffee and left, she began.

LILY / "You say in your resume' that you have a degree in Economics. And this would be your first job in the field of your studies, correct?"

SALLIE / Yes, it will be. But my inexperience will not hinder me. I am a fast learner and I have a drive to succeed. I really feel I could be an asset to your company."

LILY / "Companies, dear. We have several, but go on, tell me how you can be an asset."

Day Thirteen - Day Out Highlights

The whole group went for a day out of the hotel. This time, it was Leo who suggested they go to an up and coming hotspot for young celebrities. Leo was spotted by the paparazzi while Zoe and Sergio blossomed their young love. The others seemed to be just along for the ride and didn’t get the dress code memo. Meanwhile, George practiced some pretty mediocre guitar skills, but made a few tips!

Day Twelve - Lily Feng & Leo Harper

Lily: Really? Back to fruit salad? Leo: What’s wrong with fruit salad?

Leo, the sweet summer child, came in only after George started broadening his horizons on the cooking front. That meant he didn’t know the great fruit salad saga of the first week of the New Penelope the way Lily did. 

Day Eight - Lily Feng & Leo Harper

Lily: I can’t believe it! Poor Leo!

With the fire out and the building secure, Lily discovers a victim of the fire. Poor Leo was so tired from nearly being burned alive he went outside and fell asleep on the bench near the swimming pool. Luckily it was Lily who discovered him. If it had been Eliza or Penny, this would be all over the news. Lily just snapped a quick picture to keep in her back pocket for blackmail later...
