Lesilfae: “I love you though that may not remain the case for long...” Glares at the mc until they return to sleep. Doesn’t discuss it in the morning, pretends it never happened.

Hollond & Galeon: Gale thinks about it and hums, “I like-like you! You like-like me and Hollond, too, right?” Hollond doesn’t answer, just boots both the MC and Galeon from the bed with a scoff, “Take your like-likes elsewhere. Some of us have to work in the morning...” they totally like-like you

Qiu blinks awake, stares at the ceiling for a bit in confusion, before his gaze shifts to you. He makes a point to glance at his arm wrapped around your waist, and at the blanket the both of you are sharing, before meeting your eyes again. Finally, exasperated, he slumps back into his pillow, sighing softly, though cracks a smile when you follow him to hover over his face worriedly.

“I love you.” He answers, arms wrapping around your neck as he pulls you close. He meets you with a kiss, soft as silk, and his hands relax to languidly rest on the curve of your shoulders, his fingers dipping along the edges of your neck. His amber eyes glow in the night, warm and affectionate, upon you. “Now, until the end.”

An murmurs and groans, shushing you gently with her hand that comes up to sloppily cover your mouth. You dodge out of the way, and ask her again, urgently, until her head slowly rises up. She glares at you half-heartedly, and tweaks your nose.

“I like like like you.” She huffs, grinning when you recoil away. Satisfied, she falls back into her pillow, stretching her arms to invite you in. Once she’s secured you in her embrace, she leans in and places a soft kiss against your ear, whispering mischievously before you sleep. “And you know, I’d like like like like you if you’d let me sleep. Why don’t you ask me again in the morning, hm?”

Min He stares at you, takes a while to process the question, and then giggles and pulls you closer with a soft palm on your chin. Her fingers smooth over your cheek, tucks over the back of your ear, and begins to fall back down your jaw as her eyes glow warmly in the night.

“Like like.” She decides, amused by the serious expression on your face. You relax, relieved, and sigh when she drags her hand down to hold your fingers. She pries them apart, slips her own fingers between them, and presses your palms together. Her own skin is cool, chilled by the open air, and you can’t deny the satisfaction that fills you to feel them warm steadily with your heat. “…I love you, very much.”

Kaski’s low chuckle rolls through your own chest, and a single emerald eye peeks open to look at you. He stretches his arms and laughs again when you repeat the question urgently, nestling into the crook of his arm.

“What’s the difference?” He snorts, cocking his head lazily to your pout. You explain impatiently, hesitating only when his fingers start drawing circles into your thighs, coaxing away your attention. The grip on your leg suddenly tightens and he surges forward, grounding you with a biting kiss before you finish speaking. He grins, nipping into your bottom lip, before he pulls away to smugly admire your reddened expression. “Like-like, then.”

Xinyi yawns widely into your chest when you shift to ask your question, his eyes too heavy to open. Blindly, he grips you, determinedly tangling his legs with yours, not budging when you try to wriggle away. You brush your fingers through his soft hair, lightly scratching his scalp to wake him up, and whisper the question again into his ear when he stirs.

“Like like, of course…” He shivers under your ministrations, head leaning into your hand as it spreads over his nape. There’s laughter in his words, light and teasing, and his own fingers dance up your spine to soak in the warmth accumulated from sleep. He kisses your collar, just the slip of skin that peaks from your thin sleeping clothes, and yawns again. “I love you dearly, my beloved heart.”

Hiemi runs a hand down her face and tries to turn away, but, against your own wakefulness, she doesn’t manage to escape. She groans, her eyes resolutely shut, and she massages the bridge of her nose in annoyance. Still, despite herself, there’s a ghost of a smile on her lips when you ask again.

“It’s a little late to be asking that.” She retorts, her voice pitching irritably as she drags your forehead to hers. She inhales, trying to get her bearings, and upon sensing your mounting anxiety, sighs. She cups your cheeks, rubbing them gently, before she answers with a softer voice than before. “…Like like, you Fool. Same as ever.”

Go Ro exhales through his nose, and his hand comes up, engulfs your face, and gently pushes you back into the pillow. You lift it, clutch his fingers, and ask again, and the hand comes back down to cover your mouth, both pinning and silencing you in your place.

“Is that a serious question?” One golden eye opens, and you nod earnestly. There’s a pause, until his hand moves to cover your eyes instead. Freed, you open your mouth again to clarify, but all your words are swallowed in a soft, melting kiss that burns you to your curling toes. You feel him lean in to you, feel the pressure of his arm push against yours, before he retreats and brushes softly along your cheek. “…Go back to sleep.”

Chun rolls over with a groan, and, in revenge, steals the covers while you’re hunched over her form. You ask again, shaking her shoulder, carefully sifting through a curtain of wavy hair until her face is visible. She turns away with a grunt, and you patiently repeat the motion for the other side.

“Like like.” She admits grouchily, after your third approach, rolling away slightly with the sheets tangled around her. Her sleep-deprived eye cracks open over her shoulder to glare at you good-naturedly. You tentatively reach for the covers, and she narrows her eyes in warning, curling more into herself.“…For now.”

Spider, if you manage to wake him, groans and rolls over, tucking you down into his arm as he shushes you lazily. Halfway through the motion, you feel him growing limp, ready to succumb to sleep again, and you wiggle out of his grasp despite his drowsy complaints. You straddle his chest, cupping his cheeks to wake him up, and he huffs air into your face.

Zelda Month 2019 #15 - Like-like

One of the three horsemen of Zelda Uno. This creature along with the other two horsemen make up the most treacherous rooms in all of Zelda Uno.

Like-likes are not to hard to avoid on their own, but put them together with Bubbles and Wizzrobes, and you have problems! It’s honestly my favorite example how putting enemies with unique behaviors together can create entirely new threats.

“Shield eaters and world leaders have many likes alike” was the quote in Smash Bros Melee that described how they got their names, but I have no idea if that is canon in the least. It’s catchy at least, but what world leaders? The king of Hyrule?
