Hot take maybe. But I don't like the whole thing of anakins force ghost being portrayed by Hayden aka the actor who portrayed anakin in the prequels.
This comes down to how I interpret the story of anakin. You see I think it rubs me the wrong way because it ignores what anakin did as Darth Vader and how much time has passed since he was the anakin before order 66 and stuff.
Although I do think he did dissociate himself between his innocent anakin side and his evil Darth Vader side, in the end, he is one person. A force ghost in my mind isn't supposed to be a vision of when that person was in their prime, or even necessarily how they looked when they died. It is an encapsulation of their legacy, a testament to their wisdom and experience. This is because a force ghost isn't just a normal ghost, but one based in the mythos of the jedi.
To have anakins force ghost be this younger, purer version of him. Feels almost like a way of forgetting, to erase his sins.
But to have him be this healed version, thus older gentlemen. He still did the terrible things he did. But now he isn't in pain, like how he was from all the ill fitting cybernetics, and his burnt flesh.
I think its also against Luke's philosophy. In the movies Obi-Wan and Darth Vader insist that "anakin is dead" that "there is no light within him [Darth vadar]" but Luke insists no! His father is alive. His father can come back into the light.
And he does! He does! So why would his force ghost be in the image of when obi-wan and Darth Vader said he died?
He should appear as he did when Luke took off the mask, when they looked at each other genuinely eyes to eyes for the first time. So that then, at the party they can see each other again. But this time, Luke's father isn't weighed down by the pain and suffering he experienced. Instead, Anakin is free, among old friends. Looking like a normal older man. And one can imagine. If only things hadn't happened the way they did, they could be a happy family.
