These lightened up chocolate peanut butter brownies are a healthier alternative to traditional brownies, using applesauce and natural sweeteners instead of refined sugar and oil. They're fudgy, rich, and packed with peanut butter flavor, making them a guilt-free treat for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce. 1/2 cup natural peanut butter. 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup oat flour or ground oats. 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips optional.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. A 8x8-inch baking pan should be greased. Applesauce, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt should all be mixed together well in a bowl. Stir in the oat flour until it is just combined. You can add dark chocolate chips if you want to. When the baking pan is ready, pour the batter in and spread it out evenly. Put it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Before cutting the brownies into squares, let them cool all the way in the pan.
