Being with Aang means you're gonna have to square with the fact that he has the heart of a child. Even as someone who's a world leader, a father, and holds the power of the cosmos within him. He's Aang first and the Avatar second about 90% of the time.
i. ⛰️
Your eyes narrow when you see Aang round the corner, his eyes gleaming with amusement and his lips pursing together.
"Oh that's right. Have. A good. Laugh, airhead!" You grunt as you continue to thrash about in the small crevice to no avail.
"You know," Aang leans against the wall, his eyes still glittering. "There's another entrance just over-"
"AANG!" Your yell echoes bouncing off the walls.
Aang huffs out a laugh walking towards you. "Okay, okay, hold on. I'll earthbend you out faster than you can say 'monkeyfeathers!'"
ii. ⛈️
You can barely hold yourself upright as you see Aang and Bumi make a mad dash through the downpour towards the front steps of the entrance to your home on Air Temple Island.
You were ready with towels for both, but quite unprepared for how absolutely drenched both were when they pelted to you. Bumi didn't even stop, simply grabbed his towel and ran inside. "I HATE WET TUNICS!" he yells from inside.
"YOU'RE WELCOME!" you call back wheezing.
You're barely holding it together as Aang regales the story of his and Bumi's outing. "And then out of nowhere you just hear this MASSIVE BOOM! Rain. Rain everywhere." He makes the motions of rain falling with his arms stretched wide. He glares up at the sky. "There was NOTHING five minutes ago!" he yells up at it accusingly.
You're wheezing but get some words in. "You didn't. Think. To use your Waterbending?! You know, create a water shield?"
Aang looks back at you shell shocked, as water continues to drip down his face. "Oh."
You have to lean against the wall, clutching your sides as you desperately try to get air in through your laughter.
Aang gives you a flat look before reaching out to grab his towel, pulling it-and you-towards him. You immediately struggle out of his grip. Even as an Airbender who can regulate his own temperature, he's absolutely soaked through. "Aaaaang c'mon! I'm sorry, okay!" You plead as you try and squirm out of his grip. You're not really that sorry. It was just too funny-master of all four elements, one of the most powerful benders in the world. Defeated by the weather.
Now he's the one laughing. "Don't worry we have a towel." He wraps it around you both, tucking you to his chest. You turn around in his grip and give him a light shove back into the torrential downpour. You weren't prepared for him holding onto your wrist and bringing you with him.
"Oh look at that. Now we both need to get dry. Only one way to do that I guess." He kisses you gently in the rain. When you pull back he's grinning like Momo after he successfully steals a lychee nut from Bumi.
You pull his cloak over his head as he doubles over laughing.
iii. 🛁
"Aang, what are you doing!" You shout indignantly as your husband, clothes and all, steps into the tub that you've been relaxing in. At least he had the sense to take his boots off before stepping in.
"What? A man can't join his wife as she bathes?" Aang asks, not even trying to sound apologetic.
"You didn't even take your robes off!"
"They'll dry."
"You're sitting in your own wet dirt." you scooch backwards in the large bath only for Aang to follow immediately, his head tilted, grin widening as he braces his hands on either side of the tub.
"So were you." he counters.
"IIII was clean!" you laugh as he leans in to press his forehead against yours.
"Well, now we can spend some time together and clean each other up. And then spend the rest of the evening doing absolutely nothing." he kisses you lightly. "A win win."
You're about to try and make another argument, but it turns into a sigh as you feel the water around you warm just enough to be hot but not scalding. You let out a huff as Aang still sinks lower into the water so he's half submerged. Once he's seated, he pulls you gently to his chest.
"This is nice," he murmurs, hands tracing your back.
You press the side of your head to his chest, resting your palm over his heart. There were some battles not worth fighting. You could get him back later. And it was nice to have him home. "Welcome home you utter menace," you say softly, smiling.
Aang grins and tilts your head up to kiss you.
iv. 💍😂🍹
Katara ran up to where you and Aang were seated, trying very hard not to look panicked. "Hey, d'you know where Sokka is? We're the ones in charge of the tea ceremony for Suki and it's about to start."
You and Aang look at each other, confused. You're the one who answers the Waterbender. "No, but we can go look for him."
Aang nods in agreement. "We’ll look for him, but I have to release the sky lanterns after the tea ceremony, so we have to be quick."
You send Aang a look of gratitude for the support before looking back to Katara. "We'll be back in time for both with Sokka in tow," She sighs in relief. "Thanks guys," she hugs you tightly and dashes off, her long form fitting dress flowing like water around her.
"Even when she's about to lose her shit she's pretty." You can't help but comment. Aang raises a brow as you both stand to look for her wayward brother.
"What? She’s pretty, that’s all I’m saying." You grin at him. "I can't call our friend pretty?"
"I'm not judging." There's a smile in his voice as he nuzzles you before breaking apart, still keeping your fingers laced. "Where should we look? He could be anywhere."
You glance sideways towards where the drinks are. "The building isn't that big." You responded, looking back at Aang, eyes narrowed when you see his eyebrow twitch. Huh. Interesting. "Anyways knowing Sokka I'll go check over there. Be right back.." You quickly make your way to that area before Aang can protest.
He can’t help but fidget in place as he waits, and huffs a laugh when he sees you trotting back with a drink in hand. "Well that was a bust." You say taking a sip.
Aang snickers. "Oh nice. Our best friends are supposed to start a vital ceremony on behalf of the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors and you're over here getting yourself a drink."
"They're GREAT for the nerves. You should try it." You take another drink. Aang rolls his eyes playfully. "I think I'm good. C'mon. Let's go look."
You look in every nearby room but to no avail. "You're hiding something." You accuse as you find one locked room in particular.
"What makes you think that?" Aang immediately deflects looking in another room besides the locked one.
You tick your fingers one by one. "You're dragging your feet, you had us look through the ENTIRE hallway, despite the fact that ONE room happens to be locked, and your eyebrow hasn't stopped twitching since we left."
Aang lets out a mock gasp. "Excuse you! That's the worst thing you can say to an Airbender! We pride ourselves in being light footed!"
You poke his chest, giggling. "Shuffle feet. Tell me what's up. I can keep a secret!"
Aang sighs, pulling you to him by your waist, setting the now empty cup down on a nearby table. "Okay, okay but you have to promise not to tell anyone else!"
You nod emphatically, excitement coursing through you as Aang continues. "Well, Sokka...he-"
He's cut off by a sudden moan from the locked room. Another follows it. Male. Both voices are male. And one sounds VERY familiar.
Oh.
OH.
Aang looks like he would rather have faced Sozin himself during the comet at twelve than be here. "Don't-!"
Ignoring him completely, grinning like an owl cat who got the cream, you slide backwards towards the locked door. Aang's face is paler than the moon when your back presses against the wall near the door. He really was just terrible at keeping a good poker face.
Making a show of it, you slowly raise your arm, tongue between your teeth when Aang mouths your name in a final attempt to keep you from completing your action, you tap your knuckles lightly on the door. And nearly burst into giggles when you hear sudden thumps and cloth ruffle. "In a minute!" Sokka's voice hisses in annoyance.
"Did you forget you're in charge of the tea ceremony? We can't exactly all partake in it if the leader isn't present. That would be kinda awkward." You call back sweetly, outright cackling as you hear a swear. Aang runs his hand over his face.
"Spirits preserve me." He groans.
When Sokka comes out, you nearly keel over.
He really does try so hard to keep a straight face. "Sorry, had to do something real quick! How do I look?" He does a quick spin. "Good? I look good right? Wait, forget I asked, I always look good! I feel incredible actually."
"Yeah I bet you do." You chortle. Sokka gives you a glare but you tilt your head up and stick your tongue out at him before adding, "Fix your hair and you’re good. Go!" Sokka nods, running off.
Aang comes up to your side and wraps his arm around your shoulder. "Great. We found Sokka. Now let's-"
He's cut off when Zuko appears in the doorway, looking everything a Fire Lord shouldn't. You and Aang blink at each other as you look at the Fire Lord to the Avatar and back again. A sudden realization hits you when you see the lack of surprise on your fiance's face.
"I can't believe you KNEW who Sokka was seeing! I knew he was seeing SOMEONE but..." you whisper yelled, playfully smacking Aang's shoulder. ”We tell each other everything, we’ve been together for years! And you didn't say a word to me!" You smack him again.
"Ow!" He makes a show of wincing. "I'm sorry!” his mouth twitches upward. “I stumbled in on them one night when we were visiting Zuko and he swore me to secrecy-ow, stop hitting me!" The last words are a laugh as he lightly grabs your hands in his. "I had to keep my promise." He kisses your knuckles. "Besides, it wasn't my place to tell."
"How angry is Katara?" Zuko asks, having the decency to look sheepish as he fixes himself up.
"Oh you know her. She's more frantic than angry, but she'll BE angry if we don't get going." Aang responds.
Before he can tug you along you rush up to Zuko and hug him. "I'm happy for you. Katara's gonna lose her mind when I tell her that her own brother is with the Fire Lord. I can't wait to start working with her to plan the wedding."
With a light pat to Zuko's shoulder you flounce off to the main area.
The Avatar and Fire Lord look at each other before rushing after you, their ceremonial robes billowing behind them.

It's Pride Month. Of course I was gonna throw in some Zukka love. ^_^
Also reader is definitely with Aang, they are a SOLID couple no poly it's just not my thing. It won't be something I write about, sorry.
But their comments are meant to be able to be read as bi-curious. I hope that was clear enough without being SUPER obvious.
And of course Aang being Aang, raised as a Nomad, would not judge in the least that the people in his life might be just a bit different from his own sexuality. Canonically he's incredibly open minded and accepting. And if he found out his partner might have fooled around a bit to figure themselves out? Wouldn't matter much to him not just cause of his culture, but cause they'd have talked about it.
Cause they're all adults.
