The march really was amazing. Yes, there were plenty of transphobic/binary-enforcing signs. Yes, it was difficult for people with mobility or anxiety issues to get around due in main part to the sheer numbers of people. It is really important to acknowledge these things. It was also a place full of love and power. My little pocket of protest was inclusive in their chants and supportive of everyone we walked past. We sang happy birthday to one of the officers on 3rd, we applauded a delegation of Mexicans (or Mexican-Americans, idk they had flags), we chanted for Black Lives Matter and queer pride. It wasn't perfect, but it was ours. I'm so glad I went and lent my voice.
