The last prompt for a couple of months! Thanks @galladrabbles for running this blog! It's great 😁 And thanks @mickeyismyian for this fun prompt! I have Ian and Mickey starting to get a bit too competative when playing with the Gallaghers!!

“Never have I ever... escaped from prison...” 

Mickey narrowed his eyes at Ian...  

“Never have I ever... banged old wrinkly dudes...” 

Ian downed his shot and glared at Mickey... 

“Never have I ever dressed as a woman to cross the border...” 

Mickey raised his eyebrows as he drank... 

“Oh, that's how it’s gonna be Gallagher? Never have I ever stolen a fuckin’ baby!” 

Ian and Debbie share a sheepish glance and down their drinks. 

“Really? Both of you?” 

“Never have I ever...” Ian leant forward, grinning, and whispered into Mickey's ear. 

We didn’t get enough of their fiancés era. Sure, we got a lot of comedy out of bridezilla Mickey. But we didn’t get to see them being horny little gremlins who were way too into each other at their fittings. In my headcanon, this is what inspired Carl to order the cake topper they ended up with. Thank you to @annisefreya and @galladrabbles for giving me a flimsy excuse to write this into being.

Arms wrap around his tuxedo-clad lover, unfastening the buttons of his shirt.

“Not now, Gallagher. I’m trying to…” but then he purrs like a kitten as dopamine floods his thought process.

“Trying to what, Mick?” Ian asks, nibbling the crook of his fiancé’s neck. “C’mon, man. The tailor’s just down the hall.”

With his brain chemistry off the freaking rails, Ian shoves Mickey against the mirror, freeing him from the confines of his waistband. “You picked a tailor in Boystown. Really think we’re the first grooms to bang in here?”

Mickey relents, snickering. “So much for getting our deposit back.”

“Never have I ever…dropped out of high school.” Ian, Mickey, and Debbie each take a drink.

“Never have I ever…used someone else’s toothbrush!” Carl drinks but won’t tell them whose.

“Never have I ever…given someone a fake number.” Debbie and Tami drink.

“Never have I ever–” Carl cuts off as Ian whispers in his ear. “...married my best friend?” Ian locks eyes with Mickey, grinning as they finish their beers.

Coming Home

It’s been two hours. Ian’s fingers itch with the need to call his husband. But he knows he should give him space.

Probably.

That’s what he’s supposed to do, right?

Still, it’s been too long. So he calls.

“Hey.” Mickey’s voice sounds tired.

“I’m sorry.” It’s all Ian can think to say. “For snapping at you. Just hate the pills sometimes. Still.”

“I know. But I shouldn’t’a left. I’m sorry too. Been drivin’ around, went to some shitty bar, had one beer. Felt all wrong.”

“Where are you now?”

“On my way. I’m coming home.”

This week we said goodbye to June and welcomed July, so it's only fair we say goodbye to this week's prompt as well - thank you, dearest Heidi @dreamjupiter - and welcome the new one.

On a different note, we're approaching the end of the roster and while we did say it would mean goodbye, it looks like we're not ready for it to be a permanent one ☺️🫣 Vey and I have been talking and we think we landed on some tweaks to the current set-up which would make things flow more smoothly.

So, our goodbye will only be for 2 months. Once we reach the end of the roster, we'll take a little break and return on Monday, 5th October. More details about the new framework will come on Sunday, 2nd August (the last wrap-up) but I can share something now: start thinking of potential prompts, darlings. All of you 😎

OK, I had to take one more swing at it; I liked my other one but this prompt was too juicy. This could be considered a follow up to my other one; not enough word count for the dog to make an appearance again but she's still there and they still gotta name her <3 Thank you for hosting us and all you do @galladrabbles and thank you to @smittybus22 for the prompt!

“Do you ever miss him?’

Ian looked up from where he was sprawled on the couch, his feet touching Mickey’s.

“Frank? No,” he scoffed. 

Mickey’s eyebrows raised.

“Sometimes,” Ian admitted. “I get a crazy idea, I think ‘I’ll ask Frank, he’ll help, no one crazier than him’. Then I remember,” he exhaled. “You miss Terry?”

“No,” Mickey snorted, before he sighed. “The few times I could make him proud of me? I felt like the king of the world. Miss that I won’t get that chance again. Stupid, huh?”

Mickey stomped inside after another evening dealing with Terry. “Fuck I wish I was adopted.”

“I asked Terry if you were once.”

“The fuck?! When?”

“Before prison.”

“Why would you do that?”

“I was freaking out and he knows prison.”

“That’s fuckin’ true. But how did the adoption thing come up?”

“He was telling me about the, um, “things” that happen there. I asked if it had happened to him and he told me ‘Milkoviches don’t bottom’…”

Ian went quiet.

Mickey went still.

“And then YOU ASKED IF I WAS ADOPTED???? What the hell Ian!”

Ian never meant it to become an obsession and he never meant to follow this guy home either.

But some things simply happen when you want someone badly enough.
