i genuinely love the like,, not subtlety but just the way Andrew and Ashley's relationship is approached in the first 2 episodes. theyre clearly just a little too close, but neither seem to be fully aware of it? theres almost a level of plausible deniability to it bc neither outright say they want the other in That Way, they dont directly grope each other or make out or do anything that gives them away. so you get to watch them realize it themselves as tensions get higher and theyre forced to trust each other in more and more dire circumstances. its rly fucking well written imo
