Tbh I am optimistic about it being much more than 10 min of screetime. They are resetting the cast for this sequel with only Dan Stevens returning. And the studionwould see it as a major lacking of eye candy if ADC were to exit too soon. It might be mad, but I am lowkey hoping for a role as rich and surprisingly complex as Anna Sawai got in the Monarch TV show. Fingers crossed!

This whole two strategic cuts on the face is a systemic thing. Hell RDJ got one tiny cut after getting hit by a MOON. It reminds me how Joss told Lizzie back in Avengers 2 to keep her face neutral and not do any angry grimaces while she was filming Wanda fights. I have heard some industry people were shocked by how Charlize had giant bruises and black eye in Atimic blonde. As in "how can you allow the face of your movie be damaged and not the perfect picture of beauty even though she had been in a fight for her life 3 seconds ago?!" Infuriating.

My favorite "what if" scenario is a full Renerage Shapard that at the begging of ME2 just completely stops playing by the rules. Gets TIM assassinated, puts Miranda in charge of Cerberus. With Liara as the Shadow Broker, Shep now basically controls 2 of the major clandestine organizations in the galaxy. And now there are no "let's have a summit and chat and would you all pleeeese get along and save the galaxy?", nope. All the road blocks are blackmailed, replaced or removed and when the Reapers arrive there's no bickering and the Crucible is already half-finished. Ofc, that means there's almost no gameplay in ME3, but what a concept. xD
Hey, MJ, has there been any info on modding support for the MELE? MET has a massive library of mods and I wonder how easy or hard it would be to port them to work with MELE.

I can’t say that modding is an area that I’m technically knowledgeable about. On the general subject, I recommend to check out this video by LadyInsanity - at the timestamp 01:52 there’s a section called “What engine is MELE on? It’s ongoing, and we’ll discuss in more detail by launch.” [source] The replies to that tweet of Mac’s by Twitter user Mgamerz, who is the lead developer for the tools used in the MET modding scene, contain some detailed info on things the efforts of the modding community could benefit from, with regards to modding MELE.
Ah, that reminded me! One of the Red Queen scenes I always wanted so badly was later in S2 or maybe early S3. Some time after Cora's death. Because Snow has caused, directly or indirectly, fully intentional or not, the death of both Red's and Regina's mothers. What would that conversation would be like? Also, if we're really look into it Snow also the cause why Peter died, just like with Daniel. Unintentional, accidental, sure, but still. Snow is like at the cornerstone of a quadruple tragedy here. And Red never blamed her, Regina raged at her, but never could finish the job of killing Snow, and both of them love Snow one way or the other and UGH so many emotions! I just want that conversation between them! AND OH I JUST THOUGHT OF IT! Just how different that conversation would be if it was Evil!RedQueen? So many possibilities!

That’s it, though. That was the crossroad for them. That’s what separated their very similar paths into two extremes. Both with controlling mother-figures, living a youthful, excited romance in hiding because their mother-figures disapproved of it, both planned to run away to live the life they wanted, as opposed to the life they were oppressed and coerced to live. But, then, right before their dreams of a new start could be realized, their love interest died. One died by a mother’s hand, the other by an uncontrolled wolf’s teeth. Terrible, sudden deaths that turned their life upside down. Pain flooded them, their hearts ripped apart.
And Snow was right there, a witness to it all; The constant presence from the hopeful before and the horrible after. All that pain had to go somewhere, so Snow became its catalyst and its cure.
For Regina, how had too much anger and no means to escape, Snow was the culprit, the cause that had to be eliminated, so that Regina could heal finally (or so she deluded herself into believing). For Red, who was taught to feel inadequate and foolish, Snow was the distraction from the pain, a remedy of kind words and reassuring touches, telling her that it’s okay, Red is good, that pain will heal, her mistake was not her fault.
Red is not fully recovered, but she found a way to live despite her pain, for Snow. She postponed her grief, any anger and all depression, so she could help Snow. Thinking of Snow, helping Snow, being there for her, fighting for her... it all numbed Red’s pain.
Meanwhile, Regina was poking at her wound and blaming Snow for how much it hurt. Blaming Snow was a distraction, in a way, so she wouldn’t have to face her mother and hold her accountable for the fact, so she could avoid the confrontation she feared, and focus on this misplaced anger. Snow distracted Regina from healing.
Snow was a vital part of their stories, and how they reacted to her showed how they dealt with their pain. Regina’s anger was pointed at the world, Red’s anger was pointed at herself. Both destructive, in different ways. To compensate for it, Red surrounded herself with people, Regina pushed them away.
It’s wild to think about it. They were both greatly destructive messes, neither healed properly, but their different coping mechanism led them down different roads.
And to think of shipping them. IT’S EVEN WILDER. Just the very fact that their pain is aimed in different directions; that Red absorbs the anger, the hurt, the sadness (if exclusive, a terrible way to deal with it) and Regina lashes out, all the aggression pointing outwards ( if exclusive, also a terrible way to deal with it). Two people, so dangerous to each other. BUT THEN, THINK OF THEM OVERCOMING THOSE HORRIBLE HABITS AND TRAUMAS, for each other. That’s the co-depended borderline problematic shit I allow myself to ship in this pretend universe. Ugh, so good. They’re not recovered from their pain, but they help each other, because their differences show the other a new way to deal with it, and at least it’s a refreshment, and they needed the exercise and, hey, maybe they’ll learn better things from it.

Well, I mean, that is my HELL-YES opinion. Beauty Queen has so much tension with Belle and Regina, it’s glorious all its own. And one of the rules here is to multiship and when in doubt, poly is always a solution and never a problem.
My humble reaction to this is rolling around on my bed, kissing the screen and kicking my legs in excitement. And I don’t think konako will feel THAT differently.
Any type of vignette to keep the feels rolling is so welcome. ESPECIALLY IN 2021!!

okay, thoughts on possibly more customization options in Horizon Forbidden West? Like not just Aloy's armor, but a different hairstyle? Markings or even tattoos? idk if they gonna do it, but wouldn't that be great... sigh.
Well it’s no secret I’d love for Aloy to have tattoos! I hope she gets one during the story rather than be able to change them like a cosmetic.
I’d love an alternate hair style but I doubt we will get one - her hair looks incredibly complex to animate to her movements, so I’m not sure they’d go to the effort of making more than one style (especially when her regular is sooo goood).
I’m sure we will get a larger variety of facepaint this game. There will be new tribes to meet who will have new patterns/colours to share! Hopefully it will be something you can unlock during regular gameplay, rather than be linked to difficulty settings and game completion.
And of course, the more armor options the merrier!
