being scared of the violence in some rap songs as if it ever goes beyond threatening to beat someone up (normally hyperbolic anyways) or shooting someone/someone getting shot (most times not true, and when true normally in a Story of My Life song anyways so who cares) is so stupid bc do you know how many times I have to see you crackers act like violence -- and especially the combination of violence with sex -- is the hottest most poetic thing ever. "ooh twist the knife im close" "yaaaayyy cannibalism" "i want to see [character] bloodied and broken and bruised and whimpering and hyperventilating and--" "nothing hotter than a man covered in his own blood" and then even threatening to eviscerate strangers online over the goofiest, pettiest shit in the world. but let a Black woman say she'll beat up anyone who disrespects her or let someone rap about how their cousin getting shot affected their life and its ooooohhhhhh b b b b b but viowence is scawwwyyyyy
