your husband!levi and you were currently enjoying a cold winter day out in your backyard. small and delicate snow flakes were peacefully landing on the white yard, while the sun tried to desperately peak through the clouds in the sky. some light managed to hit the snowy land and trees, making the substance sparkle beautifully, as if millions of stars were blinking at you at the same time.
you were sitting at a bench, which levi had placed there the last summer. he had renovated the whole backyard of yours, building a small, pretty area with benches, tables and a grill. he had even done gardening, planting beautiful flowers and herbs to surround your small but pretty backyard.
levi had said he mainly built the thing, because you often liked to host dinner parties and invite your mutual friends, such as hange and erwin. levi wasn't the one who enjoyed grilling that much - because of the smell of the smoke - but erwin loved it and often prepared burgers for the whole group.
you watched the grill and the table which was now hidden under a tarp with snow piled on top of it. you often missed summer and the warmth, but now you felt pretty satisfied and content with the current weather.
levi was currently descending the stairs from the house, with his gloved hands holding two steaming cups. he was wearing a warm beanie with few strands of raven hair peeking underneath it, a puffy black jacket which was almost too big for him, white mittens which you had made for him and a scarf. the tip of his nose and his pale cheeks were slightly reddened from the crispy bite of the frost, which you found adorable.
he walked over to you and sat back down, offering you the other mug. you took it between your hands, matching mittens covering your skin as well.
"thanks, love" you smiled gently and took a sip from your hot chocolate. the flavor was sweet and creamy, the warmth of the drink feeling relieving against the cold, freezing weather.
you watched as levi sipped from his own cup, which obviously contained tea. he refused to try anything new, he preferred safe, 'always tasty' kind of options.
"why won't you taste this? please, it's so good" you pleaded, giving him a slightly pouty look as you offered the cup to him.
"tch" levi answered with a small roll of his eyes, but you could see a hint of a smirk on his lips. "i told you i just don't like sweet beverages that much."
you knew that was true. levi had grown in poor environment, so obviously he never got used to the sugary, sweet foods, while you were the opposite. you loved the taste of something sweet - and levi often took advantage of this knowledge by buying you chocolates or baking cookies for you.
"at least taste it! i promise you won't be disappointed" you continued to whine, pushing the cup right under his nose. "mmmhh, smell that- it's so good, right?" you hummed playfully, trying to courage him further.
"you're such a brat, you know that?" he sighed, but you knew that tone of voice. he was slowly giving in to your sweet puppy eyes.
"you like it, old man, don't pretend" you smirked back, with a knowing look in your eyes.
levi let out a small chuckle before he sighed. "fine. i'll taste it" he mumbled almost with embarrassment by the fact he once again, for the millionth time, had given in to you. he just couldn't say no to your adorable face.
"yay!" you cheered and took his tea cup, while he took your cup and with obvious suspicion smelled the brown liquid.
"looks like shit. literally."
you rolled your eyes dramatically. "just try it, i promise it's the best thing you've ever tasted! after me, of course."
levi grumbled something incoherent, before he raised the cup to his pale lips and took a sip. his eyebrows were furrowed in a suspicious, always concerned way, as he tasted the sweet sensations on his tongue.
"hmm" he hummed in thought and took another sip. his facial expressions hadn't changed one bit, which made your anticipation worse.
"so? you like it?" you asked almost giddily, your eyes sparkling under the faint sunshine coming from the clouds.
levi's eyebrows raised a little and a small curl formed in his lips while he shrugged. "not bad. but still, too sweet" he said with almost approval in his tone as he gave you the cup back.
you could tell he liked it more than he wanted to admit.
"i don't mind making this for you, though" he added with his casual tone. "i saw something in the newspapers about people adding whipped cream on those drinks. i could make you that."
you laughed softly, amused by the fact how clueless he really was. levi was an incredibly intelligent man, but at the same time, he was so clueless and innocent about everything that were so normal to you.
"you could, yes, i'd love it" you said and leaned in to give a kiss on his cold yet soft cheek. levi always pampered you and wanted to surprise you with these simple, yet so meaningful things.
you leaned your head against levi's shoulder, the puffy jacket under your cheek feeling soft and comfortable. the snowing was slowly coming to an end, but you two sat there in silence for a moment longer enjoying your warm drinks, the white bliss around you feeling dreamy and peaceful.
