"would you like to pray with me?" is a line you've said to levi many, many times over the years. it's one of the first things he's noticed about you, your devotion to god. when he was younger and harsher, he would've rolled his eyes at youâpray? seriously? you're asking an evil man, whose hands are lathered in blood, the devil himself must knows him by name, the bastard of a prostitute, to pray with you?
but now, he prepares tea as you close your eyes, and breathe. rosary inbetween your fingers, whispering softly your words to the lord. he doesn't raise an eyebrow at you anymore, he silently sips tea instead, counting down every second of the five minutes you dedicate before bed every night to pray.
it's become a part of his routine. you still invite him to pray with you, but never does he feel pressured to, and so he doesn't. and you don't mind. that's the beauty of your relationship, neither of you chase the other, but instead meet halfway. you pray for his soul and levi makes you a tea prepared down to every sugar cube to your liking. an equilibrium that comes naturally, it's beautiful. those five minutes of each day don't last forever, but he wishes they could.
today is a day like no other. the afternoon sun shines in through the blinds, capturing levi so warmly and serenely that if you were here you would've most definitely paused to admire him boldly like you always did. "everyone deserves to feel loved," you said to him once.
there is no tea prepared. in front of him your bible sits closed on the coffetable, your rosary messily strewn about. levi sits on the couch, hunched over as the weight of it all sits on his shoulders. his fingers fumble nervously. his mind ruminates over what the doctors told him. "irreparable damage," and "you need to start preparing for the worst."
levi looks up, making eye contact with the cross that decorates the wall. two intersecting lines is all that he sees, but something so harmless seems to mock him. some beads on string call him, his scarred hands feel empty and twitchy.
levi thinks, as he reaches forward, picking up your rosary inbetween his fingers, clutching them close to his chest, he is uttery helpless. humanity's strongest soldier, and yet he couldn't protect his closest ally.
so levi gets down on his knees, rosary in his hands, forehead touching the floor as tears burn at his waterline. if he prays today, will you live tomorrow?

Y/n surfaced from sleep slowly and unwillingly, like her body had gotten stuck somewhere between dreaming and waking and couldnât decide which one was worse. An awful heaviness gripped her, as if pulling her into the mattress.
Her limbs felt full of wet sand, and her eyes burned behind closed lids while her brain drifted uselessly beneath the surface. For a few horrible seconds, she couldnât even move properlyâcaught in that nasty half-state where she knew she was awake, but her body hadn't agreed yet. Deep sleep had left her feeling like sheâd been tranquilized and dumped back into reality unfinished.
A dull ache sat behind her eyes. Her mouth was dry. Her neck hurt from the angle she'd fallen asleep in. Even breathing felt sluggish.
She peeled one eye open with visible effort.
Fading evening light spilled through the curtains in thin strips across the bed. She groaned softly into the pillow, face scrunching in misery. She immediately noticed the pain from the stitches in her arm as she shifted, a sharp ache pulling through the muscle and forcing a quiet hiss from between her teeth.
Next, she became aware of the deep aching soreness Levi had left between her legs, the lingering reminder making her sink further into the mattress with a light groan. Reminded of him, she reached her good arm out across the sheets, her fingertips brushing gently against Leviâs warm skin beneath the thin blanket. Careful not to disturb him, she let her hand linger there softly, not wanting to wake him before he was ready. She peered over at him, flat on his backâ
And clutching his crotch like a dragon protecting its treasure trove.
Y/n stared at him blearily for several long seconds, trying to process what she was seeing through the fog in her brain.
One hand rested beneath the pillow, accentuating the strong line of his arm as his head lay against it comfortably.
The other was aggressively cupped over his dick. Like someone was moments away from breaking into the room to steal it. Even asleep, his fingers twitched tighter every now and then, his brow faintly pinched in suspicion.
She gave another exhausted blink.
"Look at youâŚâ she croaked, rubbing her eyes, voice ruined from sleep. âProtecting your pride and joy.â
Levi didnât move.
Only grunted quietly through his nose before giving his crotch a good scratch, and dragging the blanket higher with the unconscious stubbornness of an irritated cat.
Y/n let out a tired laugh that immediately turned into a groan because even laughing felt like too much work after that nap. Her entire body felt feverishly warm and weak. She wanted water. She wanted to sleep another ten hours. She wanted to rewind time and never take the nap in the first place.
Her eyes drifted shut again against her will.
Then cracked back open when Levi shifted beside her.
His hand tightened protectively again.
âOh my God,â she whispered hoarsely. âYou think somebodyâs gonna take it?â
Leviâs face tightened faintly in his sleep like heâd heard her somewhere far away.
Her thoughts began to drift to Historia and Troup, wondering where they were. Slowly, she sat up, forcing her legs over the edge of the mattress before standing weakly. She sluggishly made her way over to where her clean clothes had been folded neatly and pulled on a loose gray shirt and a pair of trousers, lazily neglecting to button them properly.
She slipped on a pair of socksânot even bothering with her bootsâand glanced back toward the bed. Levi remained dead asleep, one hand still protectively cupped over himself beneath the blanket.
Y/n smiled softly to herself.
Then she quietly left him to defend his penis in his dreams.
She wandered the familiar hallways without a thought, her feet carrying her softly to the common room. She heard their laughter from down the hall and smiled as she pushed the door open.
Inside, Connie and Jean sat across from one another, a deck of cards and a bottle between them as they argued over the logistics of tomorrowâs mission. Historia lightly rocked a sleeping Troup near the fire, while Mikasa lingered nearby, watching with quiet scrutiny and occasionally turning her nose up at the way Historia held him.
Armin sat hunched over the coffee table beside Sean, papers scattered between them as they reviewed the plan once again.
âIt has to be perfectâwe canât afford mistakes...â Armin muttered, sounding more like he was speaking to himself than anyone else.
Historia looked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, immediately softening when she saw y/n lingering weakly in the doorway.
"There you are...feeling better?" she asked softly, standing to hand Troup over to y/n who already had her arms outstretched.
"Yes...so much better," she lied, taking Troup, who grunted softly, traces of milk still on the corners of his lips.
âHe cried pretty much the whole time you were asleep...teething?â Historia asked quizzically.
âMore than likely...he chews on his fists all day now,â y/n muttered, bouncing him gently in her arms.
Troup stirred almost immediately, sensing his next meal close by. His sleepy eyes slowly blinked open, peering up at her with Leviâs storm-gray stare that was already set deep into his tiny face. Even half-asleep, his features pulled into a faintly irritated scowl.
âLooking just like his dad... indefinitely irritated.â Historia smiled, shaking her head at Troup. âSpeaking of which...â Historia trailed off, clearly insinuating toward their earlier tensions.
âHe might hold a little grudge for a while, but we made up...â
Connie snorted loudly from across the room.
âOh we know, believe me, we all heard you âmaking upâ.â
Y/n shot him a threatening glare. Jean chortled into his glass while Armin and Sean hardly even acknowledged her presence, both still bent over their planning documents.
"Shut up, Connie, you perverted little worm," she shot at him.
Mikasa sighed.
âWell, it is hard not to hear you two,â she defended Connie, who gave a thankful grin. âThis time we couldn't tell if you were making up or killing each other.â
"Mikasa!" y/n hollered, surprised at her.
âThatâs rich coming from you two,â Connie shot Mikasaâs direction, his eyes shifting to Jean as well. âIâve heard less screaming during Titan attacks.â
âI canât help that Iâm a rigorous lover,â Jean countered with a shrug, like that somehow excused everything. "Don't worry y/n, sounds like the singles are jealous that they aren't getting any action."
Armin glanced quickly at Historia, whose pale skin had already begun turning pink, before hastily forcing his attention back down to the papers scattered across the table.
Troup suddenly began whining loudly in y/nâs arms, rooting impatiently against her shirt in a determined search for another dram of milk.
"How long ago did he eat?" y/n asked Historia.
"Thirty minutes ago." Mikasa shot a disapproving look at Historia. "He only had four ounces, it's like she wants him to starve..."
Historia scoffed at her, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.
âAt five months, they can go three to four hours between a feeding, thank you.â Historia finished, crossing her arms and staring at Mikasa in disbelief. "I do have two children of my own, you know." she said, annoyed.
âYeah, theyâre heirs to the throne but look like war refugees,â Mikasa shot back flatly. âDo you at least let them have whole milk with their supper?â
âYou know whatââ
âOkay, enough, you two...â Y/n interrupted tiredly, bouncing Troup gently as his fussing worsened. âHistoria, come with me to the study. We can talk while I nurse him.â
Historia rose immediately, looking more than ready to remove herself from Mikasaâs presence.
Once seated in the study, Y/n carefully pulled her shirt aside and freed one breast. Troup immediately latched on without hesitation, clearly experienced enough now to need no guidance at all.
Y/n listened calmly as Historia rambled on about all the things they hadnât been able to discuss over the past few months apart. She spoke about her childrenâs studies, new charity initiatives, upcoming banquet plansâall pleasant things to hear about.
Still, there was clearly only one thing on y/nâs mind.
âSee, I didnât even know nipple confusion was a thing until my second child whenââ Historia paused abruptly after catching y/nâs sly grin. âWhy are you looking at me like that?â she asked suspiciously, crossing her arms.
âDonât bullshit me. How long?â Y/n asked with a knowing smile, pulling an increasingly angry Troup away from her chest long enough to burp him.
Historia froze.
Then, despite herself, a small smile flickered across her face.
âIt started right after you had Troup and they got back from the McCartyâs.â
Y/n hummed softly, shifting Troup to her other breast with practiced ease.
âI mean...I want you to be happy, Christie.â
âOh no,â Historia sighed dramatically, already standing and pacing toward the window. âHere we go.â
âHe only has a year and some change left,â y/n said quietly. âI just donât want to watch you go through that kind of grief if we canât break the curse.â
"We will break it." Historia said with finality.
y/n shook her head.
"Sometimes I don't know...I worry about whether my son will live to adulthood. Or die at thirteen," she said quietly, tears threatening to creep up as she looked down at her nursing infant. "I just don't want us foolishly riding on the faint hope that we can break this curse."
Historiaâs expression softened as she stared out the window.
âI know,â she admitted quietly. âBut despite the odds, I canât help but imagine a future with him, y/n.â
Historia sighed helplessly, her gaze drifting back out toward the city lights below.
âHeâs widowed. Iâm divorced. I need someone beside me to help rule and...â A small, almost embarrassed smile crossed her face. âI canât help it. I love himâŚbutâweâre just trying to keep it casual for now...â
Y/n immediately snorted.
âArmin? Casual?â she laughed quietly. âIâd be shocked if he hadnât already bought you a ring.â
Historia shrugged one shoulder innocently.
âHe is incredibly good in bed,â she replied with a sly smile over her shoulder, trying to lighten the air in the room. âIâd be okay with having that every night for the rest of my lifeâŚâ
Y/n rolled her eyes instantly.
âYeah and I can go my whole life without hearing about my childhood friendâs sex life.â
She burst into quiet laughter while y/n adjusted Troup against her chest as he swatted clumsily at her with one chubby hand.
âJust be careful before you end up with another one of these,â y/n warned teasingly, nudging Troup gently.
âDid I mention itâs big?â
âThis conversation dies here, or Iâm joining the Yeagerists,â y/n scowled. âAnd thatâs the last time I ever want to hear about Arminâs dick, its proportions, or any of its accomplishments.â
âWhose penis are you discussing in here?â
Leviâs voice cut through the room as he quietly shut the study door behind him.
Y/n nearly jumped out of her skin.
Troup startled violently in her arms before immediately bursting into shrill cries.
âGod, Levi!â y/n gasped, clutching her chest. âCare to announce yourself next time? You scared me to death!"
Levi looked entirely unbothered by this information. If anything, he almost seemed amused.
âGive him here before he blows a lung.â
Y/n held him out, and he settled the second Levi tucked him against his chest and began rocking him gently.
Y/n stared at them in betrayal.
âOh, okay,â she scoffed. âThatâs the thanks I get for lending him my boobs.â
Historia shrugged dramatically.
âThatâs just the way it is,â she sighed. âMothers suffer. Fathers get worshipped for existing...â
Levi snorted quietly while Troup blinked up at him with complete adoration, chubby hand reaching for his chin.
Historia smoothed down her skirt before glancing toward the door.
âWell,â she said with a sly smile, âIâll leave you two to it. I happen to have a very attractive military strategist waiting for me.â
âUnfortunately, I know entirely too much about that military strategist now,â y/n muttered.
Historia only laughed before she slipped out the door, leaving Levi and Y/n alone in the quiet study with their son.
âWell...â Levi muttered, glancing sideways at y/n. âGuess you got the confirmation you wanted.â
âAnd much more that I didnât,â she huffed, earning a quiet chuckle from him.
Levi sat beside her, their shoulders brushing lightly as they both fell silent, absentmindedly staring toward the bookshelf across the room while Troup babbled happily in Leviâs arms, blowing little spit bubbles between sleepy noises.
âWe have to stop this,â y/n said suddenly, her voice cracking.
The shift in her tone immediately gave away where her thoughts had wanderedâback to the same place they always went.
Levi looked over at her quietly.
âWe have to break this curse,â she whispered. âI canât watch my son die like that. I keep thinking about Bertholdt... about watching Armin inherit him...â Her voice faltered.
âStop,â Levi said firmly, reaching over and taking her hand before she could spiral any further. y/n looked up at him.
âDonât do that to yourself,â he murmured, shaking his head slightly. âI told you from the beginningâweâll stop it. I donât care what it costs.â
For a moment, she simply stared at him before slowly nodding and leaning forward into a soft kiss.
The room fell quiet again afterward, save for Troupâs sleepy babbling and the crackling fireplace nearby. For just a brief moment, wrapped in the calm of the night and the warmth of each other, it almost felt like the world itself had stopped turning.
Levi rested his forehead lightly against hers.
âLetâs go back to bed,â he whispered. âBig day tomorrow.â
Y/n nodded in agreement, following him back to their room. Before long, the three of them had settled into bed once more, the quiet sound of Troupâs tiny snores mixing with Leviâs louder ones in the darkness. Somehow, the familiar noise soothed her completely, eventually lulling Y/n into a far more peaceful sleep.
When Y/n woke again, she found Levi sitting at the edge of the bed with Troup cradled carefully in his arms. He was whispering something softly to himâtoo quiet for her to make out through the thick haze of sleepâbut the moment she stirred, his attention shifted toward her.
âMorning,â he said quietly, one finger trapped inside Troupâs tiny closed fist.
âAnd to you...â she murmured through a yawn. âHere, Iâll feed him.â
Levi handed the baby over carefully, and the room fell into a comfortable silence while Troup ate. The only sounds were his tiny suckles and sleepy little grunts.
âWhat were you two discussing?â she asked softly, nodding toward Troup with a faint smile.
Levi huffed quietly, the corner of his mouth twitching upward.
âJust telling him some things he needed to know.â He said softly. âLike that weâre coming back home to him.â
Y/n nodded slowly as silence settled between them again.
âPutting it into existence,â he muttered, meeting her gaze directly.
Her expression faltered slightly.
âI donât want you to go,â Levi said suddenly, his face tightening with quiet concern.
âI know,â she replied softly. âBut I canât stay behind. Weâre already stretched thin with people we can trust. Armin, Jean, and Mikasa have to receive Gabi and Falco. That only leaves me, you, and Connie.â
Levi sighed heavily, rubbing the back of his neck.
âItâll go smoothly. The planâs careful...â he trailed off, though she could practically see the gears turning behind his eyes already, searching for every possible point of failure.
A soft knock interrupted his train of thought.
âY/n? Are you decent?â Historia called gently through the door. âIâm here to take Troup for you.â
Levi stood and crossed the room, opening the door to let Historia inside.
Y/n carefully transferred the now sleepy baby into Historiaâs arms alongside the bottles sheâd pumped earlier in the night. She leaned down to kiss Troupâs little forehead before finally letting him go, her chest suddenly feeling unbearably heavy.
âHey,â Levi approached her gently once Historia had vanished back into the hallway. âLook at me.â
Y/n glanced up reluctantly.
âHeâll be okay,â Levi murmured, immediately noticing the fear creeping into her expression. âWe still have a job to do. Focus on the mission.â
Y/n crossed her eyes briefly and clicked her tongue at him.
âEasier said than done...â she muttered, gaze dropping toward the floor.
Levi stepped closer, taking her chin gently between his fingers until she looked at him again.
âWe have to keep fighting,â he said firmly. âNobody else is going to break this curse for him except us."
Y/n nodded slowly, working her bottom lip between her teeth until Levi reached up and pulled it free with his thumb.
âI told you about that,â he murmured teasingly before pressing a gentle kiss to her mouth. âDonât bite those pretty lips. They belong to me.â
She laughed softly at that, turning her head to press a small kiss into the center of his palm.
âPromise me youâll come back safely with me, and Iâll reward you with them,â she teased, smoothing a hand playfully over his chest.
Leviâs mouth twitched faintly at the corners.
âNow that,â he murmured dryly, âsounds like motivation.â
He leaned his forehead briefly against hers before sighing softly through his nose.
âI promise,â he said quietly. âIâll come back with you.â
With that, the two of them stepped out into the hallway together and headed toward Jeanâs office.
At Port Paradis, hidden among the rooftops, Y/n fumbled nervously with her wedding band. A few yards away, high above her position near the skyline, Levi remained perched behind the tall steeple of an old building, nearly blending into the dark silhouette of the stonework itself.
Y/n tugged anxiously at the collar of her black ODM uniform, suddenly hyperaware of the fabric against her skin. The harness straps felt too tight. Too heavy. Her pulse throbbed unpleasantly beneath them.
Her palms were slick with sweat as she gripped her sidearm in one hand while the other rested against the blade housing of her ODM gear, her fingers twitching with restless anticipation.
She wondered when her nerves had gotten this bad. Every mission used to sharpen her. Now it felt like her mind tried to split itself in twoâhalf panic, half precision.
So she forced the nervous energy into observation instead.
Her eyes swept carefully across the rooftops Armin had mapped out earlier, searching for even the slightest indication of movement. Something shifting in the shadows, a glint of metal or even the faintest silhouette of a rifle barrel.
Anything.
According to Armin, those buildings provided the cleanest line of sight to the tarmac below, where the small aircraft would soon land carrying what the enemy assumed was Falco and Gabi. If the assassin was competentâand they had to assume they wereâtheyâd take the shot the moment the doors opened, and someone stepped out.
Which meant they would only have seconds to react.
Y/n adjusted slightly against the roof tiles beneath her stomach, ignoring the dull pull from the healing stitches in her arm as she scanned the skyline again.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing but the usual bustle of commerce and chatter drifting up from below.
Her gaze flicked downward toward the treeline bordering the airstrip. Hidden among the dense branches, Connie crouched low against the trunk of a tree, binoculars raised as he searched the perimeter just as intensely as she and Levi were.
Theyâd already discussed the possibility that the shooter might work from ground level instead of the rooftopsâor worse, that there could be more than one assassin working in coordination, taking multiple angles at the plane.
That was the problem.
They wouldnât truly know where the threats were positioned until the plane actually touched down.
She swallowed hard as she saw the glint of an approaching aircraft in the distance. She checked her watch.
Right on time.
She looked up at Levi, who pointed two fingers downward at her, holding them there.
Stay in position.
She lifted the binoculars to her eyes, focusing on Connieâs position in the treeline below. Even from the distance, she could tell he was already watching her, waiting for instruction.
y/n gave a quick two-finger signal downwardâthe same as Levi had given her.
Connie answered immediately, fisting his hand and waving it forward in a knocking motion to let her know he understood. They went back to scanning the town below and the terrain beyond.
The plane was closer now, growing larger with every passing second. The roar of the engines reached her ears, and Y/n took a shaky breath, tightening her grip around the handle of her blade.
Try to take them alive...we need information, Armin had instructed.
Easy for him to say from five miles up the coastline in some isolated cove known only to the handful of Scouts who had first discovered Port Paradis after the fall of the Pure Titans.
Y/n steadied herself with one final breath as the plane touched down on the tarmac below, wheels screeching violently as they hit the runway.
The engines whined loudly before gradually beginning to die.
One of the Scouts positioned by Levi moved toward the aircraft, lowering the steps carefully.
Y/n crouched lower against the warm rooftop, blades drawn tightly now in both hands, ready to move at the slightest indication of danger while her eyes continued desperately combing the surrounding rooftops for any sign of the assassin.
Nothing.
The plane door opened.
Still nothing.
Thenâ
A violent electrical crack split through the air.
Screaming erupted almost instantly afterward, shrill cries of panic, voices screaming for help.
Y/nâs head snapped toward the town square, and her blood ran cold. Because towering in the middle of the street stood a twenty-meter Titan, its massive hand curled around a screaming civilian as it shoved the person headfirst down its throat.
Y/n gasped in stunned horror.
âHoly fuck...â she breathed in disbelief.
And suddenly she understood.
They hadnât come prepared for this.
They had walked directly into a coordinated attack.

âLevi just let meââ You began getting cut off as he waved his hand in the air, ignoring your stare as he moved himself from the couch to his wheelchair. There was nothing you could do but watch, feeling your heart crack seeing him, the man who everyone deemed so strong, has now crumbled to this.
He hissed in pain, shifting his weight to get more comfortable before looking at you, shame colored his silver eyes as he gazed at you.
âCan you please push me out to the car?â He asked so quietly you werenât sure you even heard him, but nonetheless, you grabbed the bag stuffed with dinner for tonight that Kuchel was holding at her house.
You grabbed the handles and wheeled him to the front door, grabbing the keys, trying not to let the tears stream down your cheeks. If you wiped at your eyes, then you knew Levi would say something, and it would just blow up more than it already has.
Silently you opened the door and pushed him outside, shutting and locking the door. Turning around, you glanced up at the sky, seeing clouds slowly turn gray, a beautiful bright day now dampened just like your mood.
Ever since Levi came home from the hospital, heâs pushed you away more times than you could count, and the endless fights left you on the couch most nights, unable to comfort your husband. You sighed and opened the car door, helping him inside before folding the wheelchair and putting it in the back.
More silence settled in the car when you got in the driver's spot, sitting there holding the steering wheel, debating on if you should say anything.
âAre we going to sit here all day?â Levi asked, looking at you. His tone was a bit harsher than what he wanted, a look of hurt flashed across your face before starting the car and pulling out of the driveway. So many thoughts swirled around in your head thinking of the vows you made him, wondering if he was going to keep his.
âAre you not going to use your turn signal? And you need the right lane, or youâre going to miss your turn. My mom has been texting me non-stop about this damn shitty dinner.â Levi grunted and rolled his eyes watching you weave in and out of the lanes.
âI know where Iâm going. Weâve been to your momâs a lot of times.â You replied coolly, trying to keep a level head, all the stress of him fighting and pulling away left you angry and alone, but you didnât blame him. The sudden change threw him for a loop, and now he has to rely on you for almost everything, and you did so without one word, even though Levi was a bit brash with you.
Tears stung the back of your throat again as you focused on driving, still missing the turn. âYou missed the damn turn, what are you doing? Are you even paying attention?â Levi asked and huffed, looking out the window.
You turned to look at him with a watery gaze as you pulled over on the shoulder, gripping the steering wheel.
âI have been nothing but good to you ever since your accident, and you have been nothing but awful to me. I cook and clean for you, and then I bathe you afterward, and this is the thanks I get? Iâm your wife, Levi, not some fucking nurse you can speak to that way. I love you, but dammit, youâre being an asshole to me.â You blurted and looked at the road again.
Levi stared at you slowly chewing on your words, knowing youâre right, it wasnât fair because you put everything on hold to take care of him, your sweet words and touch at night whispering how you still love him and will always think heâs your hero.
He was never good with words that didnât usually hurl insults or shit jokes, but now he was stunned in silence as you finally pulled the car into Kuchelâs driveway, seeing her standing on the front porch, rushing to the vehicle, and opening Leviâs door.
You got out and took a moment to collect yourself, pressing your sleeves against your eyes, hearing Kuchel grab the wheelchair and help Levi into it. âAre you coming in, dear?â She asked, walking around the car to look at you with a soft smile.
âYeah, Iâll be there in a minute.â
âJust leave me out here with her, please,â Levi said, looking at his mom, then you leaning against the trunk holding your arms. Kuchel kissed the top of his head and walked back inside to peer out the window. âIâm sorry, I know Iâve been an asshole to you.â
âI donât think right now is a good time to get into this, letâs just have dinner and go home. Iâm exhausted.â You said, "Standing straight, walking past him, he quickly grabbed your hand and looked down at the ring he slipped on your finger two years ago, pressing a light kiss to the shining diamond."
âIâm having trouble adjusting to everything, and youâve helped me more than anything. Thank you.â His words and tone were soft, reminding you of when you both stood under the altar, confessing your undying love to each other in front of your family and friends. The rain broke from the clouds, drizzling over you and Levi as you stared down at him, squeezing his hand. So many unspoken words were left between you as you sat down on his lap, burying your face in his neck.
Kenny ackerman was walking around outside of the house away from âthe runtâ. he spotted something or someone he found amusing . He saw a short girl, shorter than â the pipsqueakâ . she had short white hair , green eyes and wearing t-shirt and shorts rags. Her hair was short enough for the girl to be mistaken for a common street rat boy . then the gears started turning âit canât be, that clan shouldâve died out .. is she the last of her kind ?â .
âOi, kid whatâs yer name?â turning her body around the small petite girl glared at the man . âTch , was geht dich an, alter mann? sich verpissen!â (âwhatâs it to you old man ? Piss off!â) . Kenny had no idea what the green eyed girl just said but her face gave away âi donât like youâ. âKid i asked nicely youâre a lot shorter than another pipsqueak i knowâ. â tch, fine.. the names liezel just liezelâ asking why the girl has no last name liezel muttered â um himmels willenâ ( for fucks sake). â tch , how the hell should i know? my old man abandoned my mom after i was born .. my mom was a prostitute iâm a bastardâs child you happy now? â liezel walked off muttering ânosy geezerâ before walking away kenny found it amusing that such a young pipsqueak was a feisty one . Later that day after another successful job of stealing money liezel came out of the shower , cleaned a bit and cooked her dinner. liezel remembered overhearing about âkenny the ripperâ how heâs well known for slaughtering multitudes of mpâs . âserves them right, the mpâs are a joke compared to the police back in berlinâ. liezel noticed something was strange with her body she never had a cycle . it was even more strange that in both lifetimes at this age the same thing happened again . just to erase the doubt in her head the next day liezel headed to the doctor she met that day . once seeing him she spoke to him in german to get his attention âah! Arzt, bitte helfen sieâ. (Ah! Doctor please help) âliezel itâs been a while â smiling at the kind man down here and back in berlin liezel was kind to only a selective bunch. to her this doctor was kind enough to answer her multiple questions as best as he could . The doctor commented âyou cut your hair â agreeing that she did â so that iâll be less of a target against my enemies down here i donât get to sleepâ. both as a doctor and liezelâs acquaintance he didnât like that her or anyone else has to live like this . â i know that face doctor meine mutter *my mother* would make the same face youâre making. iâve always been like this even before waking up in the underground. the most i get is an hour of sleep itâs not something i can fix . but doctor i need a favor and i have money for it , iâve already hit puberty but i never got a cycle please tell me whatâs going on this happened before i died in berlin tooâ. Almost refusing her money but liezelâs not the type to back down, especially when this kind person helped her when no one else would . playfully shaking his head accepting the money she could give she told the kind man all sheâs experienced from her puberty and what she hasnât had âlieber doktor, das letzte mal, als wir gesprochen haben sie mir die anzeichen gesagt, dass ich auf den zyklus eines mädchens achten soll, es ist eineinhalb jahre her, dass ich keinen hatteâ (âkind doctor, the last time we spoke you told me the signs to look out for a girlâs cycle itâs been a year and a half i havenât had one ) âwas bedeutet das?â. after what felt like hours the kind man sadly shook his head saying âiâm sorry liezelâ confusion was written all over her face. â youâre barren;infertile, you wonât be able to have childrenâ. softly gasping then she had a sad smile âi see , that explains everything .. i just wasnât able to see it.. iâll be ok doctor thank you for being honest with me â. she took out her hand for a handshake he shook it . if he was being honest telling the women theyâre barren never got easier and thereâs nothing to be done . the first night was the first time liezelâs cried here in the underground . maybe not now but the green eyed girl did want to be a mother once she got out of this shithole and moved up to the surface. even if it pained the young girl liezel chose to move forward .

Notes: as mentioned before liezel is a genius it doesnât take long for her to speak eldian language and because itâs an isekai idea liezel wouldnât have a thick accent if anything she speaks it with no issues unrealistic i know but it is fiction. Iâd like for the writer to include some german in this idea iâm using a translator app. i think itâd be an interesting idea that the german language was similar to eldian since isayama took inspiration from Germany and other countries from europe.
Harshly gasping for air liezel didnât feel any pain compared to before âIâm alive? but how ? I know that molesterâs lackeyâs shot meâ. for someone who had died liezel was unbelievably calm the most she allowed herself to feel disoriented most people in her predicament wouldâve lost it. but sigrid was never considered normal , even fellow civilianâs back in berlin thought she may be a monster or a demon. Learning to steel and harden herself at such a young age the only person who knew her the real liezel was her mother âbut sheâs dead, mother is this hell ? .. how laughable this all is .. of course a bastard child like me would end up in hell.. after all i have blood on my handsâ. Her face remained ever so stoic seemingly lacking any emotion when walking to find someone to answer her questions. although liezel couldnât understand yet she knew enough that it wasnât german. no such luck although the girl did find an empty home that had been abandoned. âugh, disgusting.. itâs no different than the slumsâ hesitantly she went back outside . In her time in berlin liezel was a natural pickpocket , tricked more civilians that she lost track of to steal food and water in the stores and food stands. using brute force when absolutely necessary , liezel hated the idea of taking a life but if it meant she could survive or save someone elseâs then sheâll do so as an absolute last resort. not once did she get caught pickpocketing and stealing from the food stands. it had only been a few hours since she woke up in what reminded her of the slums . trying her luck she talked to a doctor who could somewhat make out what sigrid was saying even if he never heard of where she came from. âAh! Doktor Bitte hilf mir!â (Ah! Doctor please help me!) initially confused she pointed at him then to her finally getting the picture he nodded telling her to continue . â was ist das fĂźr ein ort? sind wir noch in den slums berlin? wo bin ich? (What is this place? are we still in the slums berlin? where am i?). confused at these questions the doctor tried his best to answer her questions âmy dear child calm down one at a time, i donât know of any berlin slums . this is the underground where no sunlight can reach down here under the city mitras there on the surface protected by wall sinaâ. the doctor could see plain as day that liezel truly didnât know what he was talking about. â you truly donât know ? about the titans? how most of humanity has been wiped out thanks to the titansâ. Liezel was horrified to hear that most of humanity wiped out, did the allies call themselves the titans now wiping out most of humanity â how could they ?! those people were innocents!!â Liezel was a mystery to the doctor her once green eyes seemed to glow out of raw anger but then they reverted back to their original color . â doktor sagen sie nir, haven die verbĂźbdeten wirklich die grobten teil der menschheit ausgelĂśscht? Ist der erste weltkrieg wirklich so weit geggangen? bitte erzählen sie mir alles!â (Doctor tell have the allies truly wiped out most of the human race? has the great war really gone this far? tell me everything!). â very well iâll tell you what i know but little girl what is this great war and allies? â. Liezel was taken aback , how could he not know about the great war ?! then something hit her âhe called me little girl? but iâm 15â. her voice was higher pitched compared to before, her face felt softer liezel has always had a youthful appearance but her face felt like a childâs small face compared to a teenagerâs . her hands and feet were smaller, although tangled her white hair was longer .. a small gasp came out . she had only heard of âreincarnationâ as a child âbut i thought those were just stories â thinking back she truly did die .. she remembered her last thoughts were on this âleviâ.
âI see now i did die but came to a different place and time he said earlier it was year xxx nowhere near 1915.. if this is all true then iâm no longer german iâm this âeldianââ. telling liezel what all he knew , never seen the titans but heard that theyâre these mindless beings who eat humans but the walls have protected them for who knows how long . now it was the doctorâs turn to be surprised â I see iâm no longer 15 not am I in germany . tch the way i see it this shithole is no different than the slums in berlin â asking how sheâs speaking eldian now when earlier she was talking in a different tongue liezel just shrugged her shoulders â iâve always been able to learn things quickly everything just .. came easy to me â. â youâre really not a typical child most kids are the excited emotional bunchâ . giving strong eye contact she sighed and looked at the ground and spoke in a sad voice â iâm not, back before i died in berlin i had to grow up quickly i did what i had to do to survive. my mother.. she died when i was 8 from an illness i never knew what it was. Iâve done and seen things no child should ever have to experienceâ. the doctor didnât know this girls whole story but could tell itâs not something she likes to talk about. âchild, whatâs your nameâ sadly sighing looking back at the man answering him â liezel.. just liezel, my old man walked out on my mother from what i know iâm a bastardâs childâ . getting up liezel told the kind doctor â vielen dank fĂźr alles, doktorâ (thank you for everything doctor) giving him strong eye contact and a hand to shake at first he looked at her hand and shook it . the doctor then told liezel if they meet again heâll answer her inquiries to the best of his abilities. in the middle of the night liezel made multiple trips stealing numerous cleaning supplies, new clothes including shoes, scissors to cut her hair, bathing items, food and among other things nobody noticed their goods were gone the next day. arriving back to her new home liezel rushed to the nearest bathroom. âtch , this place is shit but i can clean after thisâ while cutting off her long hair she remembered what her mother said while bedridden . Touching young liezelâs long white hair â you have such beautiful hair darling i wish you would keep it longâ looking at her mom sadly â mamma , itâs too dangerous thereâs too many bad men out there if i look like a boy maybe theyâll leave us aloneâ although she understood it still made her mom sad liezel was becoming a thug âliezel dear, come to mĂźtterâ coming quickly silent as a mouse â i say this as your mamma one day youâll find someone whoâll love you for who you are i promise my dearâ. looking back liezel was nearly finished âmutter, back then i didnât believe you but i hope youâre right.. somehow iâll get out of this shithole and see the sun where everything doesnât feel bleak and death isnât in the airâ. the cleaning took hours surprisingly she wasnât in immense pain . Liezel has always been a perfectionist âclean freakâ liezel hated a speck of dust much less a dust. â finally .. this fucking shithole looks much betterâ luckily the green eyed child actually managed to rest somewhat the world was kind enough to let her sleep 3 hrs which means a-lot to liezel. 100% of the time liezel manages to rest for an hour the max..
Warning !! : this snippet is gruesome it gets ugly i advise you to go somewhere else . Itâs not for the faint of heart . Child rape or rape in general goes against my morals it is mentioned but itâs vague . Donât even think about reporting me , iâve warned you . The only reason iâve posted this is to get a fanfic writers attention for this idea . Whether i have to pay commission or a writer decides to write without any charge.
The slums always reeked filth it was repulsive but it was all liezel knew possibly all sheâll ever know. up until she was 8 liezelâs mother was her whole world her âdeadbeat old manâ from what sheâs heard he just up and left never looking back after his daughter was born. her mom was never bitter about it but she didnât tell liezel anything about him either. Liezel hated how much the others spat insults calling her a âwhoreâ at the time she didnât know what that meant at the time but found out that she was a âprostituteâ her mom would never answer and evaded liezelâs attempts. sugar and honey was a delicacy only the rich could afford nobody in the slums could dare hope to taste it. they didnât have much if there was anything sigrid loved it was tea to her any flavor was good as long as it was made correctly. For an 8 year old child she was strong , stronger than an average child that shouldnât even be possible called many things but was commonly called âfilthy demonâ â the devils childâ. after her mom passed away from some illness her heart would never know the warmth of love . Liezel had no choice to create a cold hardened exterior for her that was the only way to survive to men and other thugs she was distrustful, cold, no-nonsense, resilient, abrasive, stubborn, dangerous, confident and an intimidating nature. to children and their mothers she showed a whole new side kind, selfless , warm and compassionate to survive to the kids she had the prettiest smile and she was a beauty . a genius and talented in fighting it never took much for liezel to figure out or perfect anything . the young snow haired woman wondered at one time what it would be like to be in love even if she could find love in all of germany none of the men interested her. she couldnât explain it but a raven haired boy her age no more than 15 captured her heart even if it was just a dream.. a fantasymore than anything liezel wanted to be with him . This day was bleaker almost as if the smell of death was in the air strong enough to take on a few thugs but this was different these thugs were armed â fuck, where did they get guns ?! only soldiers who signed up or got drafted in the great war!â now it all clicked â black market huh.. very clever.. alright then, if i die here then that child is going to live!!â. a grotesque large man who seemed to be in his late 50âs was having his way with a young defenseless boy a child who mightâve been here wrong moment wrong time. Kicking with such force that the old pervert nearly crushed his head â O-Oi isnât thatâ the crowd nervously gulped âitâs that filthy devil childâ. Only Distracted for what felt like only a few minutes heard the most painfully god forsaken bloodcurdling scream to the point he couldnât scream anymore. â my god !.. she crushed his balls!!â. growing tired of this liezel talked in a bored tone as if all she did was nothing. â shut upâ letting out a âtchâ liezel continued on torturing the molester the vermin called her a âdevil cuntâ. âtch .. thatâs nothing new , a devil am i ? Then youâre far worse than me!!â The screaming continued on as the man cried and screamed as she broke his right food those screams sounded so ungodly abnormal. Others thought liezel enjoyed the thrill of inflicting pain a curious child back then complimented her saying sheâs a hero that day her heart felt heavy like an anvil âIâm not, hopefully the great war will be over soon ..take careâ rubbing his head he showed an innocent smile but the never caught on that her smile was a painful one. Itâs a life that she never asked for if she could sheâd have a boring quiet life taking care of her mother something sigrid knew fate would never grant her. coming back to reality the injured perverted man begged liezel to stop and let him go. his whining was pathetic but then heard his buddyâs loud footsteps . before being fatally wounded she told â tch.. i donât give a damn , that child he was innocent and now he has to live the rest of his life haunted by this day because you couldnât keep it in your pants i shouldâve castrated you!!â
Taking out the sharpest blade she owned piercing the bone where his throat is breaking his neck . Liesel didnât even hear the gunshots that aimed her vital organs from her back it was as if her lungs were the only thing stopping her from making any sound . She couldnât explain what she should feel but liezel knew it was too much to hope for the dreams replayed in her head during her last moments . â I see.. your name is levi.. so beautiful just once i wanted to be with you .. tch i want to spit on this shitty world â. her eyes lost the life in them , How cruel her fate would be.
slightly morbid but if levi ever lost his s/o, i can just imagine him obsessing over keeping everything in the exact same position as when they last touched it. your shared room would become a moment frozen in time. that slight dip on your side of the mattress would remain there, ingredients you bought to make his favourite dinner still there in the back of a cabinet, and your open journal with your favourite pen bookmarking the page you were in the middle of writing in.
âââ
he can see it, in the corner of his eye, hiding in the small corner of your bedside table. that damned journal you spent so long writing in every single night. he never understood the point of it, why you needed to write down everything when he was right there willing to listen to you.
âiâll come soon! just need to wait for the ink to dry before i can write on the next page.â
âcome to bed before you get a damn paper cut.â
you had told him once that youâve been journaling since you were a child, how all the journals youâve amasssed over the years had become an extension of you. a documentation of your thoughts, your dreams, all the ugly truths youâve experienced.
he never once thought to invade your privacy by reading them. he knew how precious they were to you and any secrets you wanted to keep were yours alone, he was content to just laze around you while you wrote. but with you gone, and it sitting right there almost tempting him with its open page, he canât help himself.
he ever so gently goes to pick it up, holding it delicately as if it might dissipate through his fingers any minute. heâs not sure what he expected, but it certainly wasnât this. a scratchy sketch of a flower field. and what he certainly didnât expect was to recognise it, it being the very same field he would take you to during the downtime between expositions.
he sits on the edge of the bed with a loud thud, his legs having lost all strength. at first he just means to inspect that singular page, but before he knows it heâs flipping through all the pages. carefully going over every line, drinking in all your words like wine. he canât almost hear your voice narrating it, telling him all the miscellaneous thoughts youâve had, describing all those dreams you never got to fulfil.
itâs the closest heâs gotten to reading your mind, and now itâs all he has left as proof you were.
