I feel like society would develop such that we wouldnât HAVE standard verbal greetings like that - they would all be nonverbal. But then I think about corporations and like, I could totally see large corporations creating them purposefully to keep people from finding their soulmates? i suppose really it depends on your worldbuilding, ultimately. how long has the soulmate phenomenon been occurring? is it fairly recent? (last hundred years ish) did society develop around this quirk of metaphysics, and if so, how differently to now? is it common, or rare? does EVERYONE have a soulmate/mark, or does it only happen to a small percentage of the population? worldbuilding is key.
