I am glad my take on Rodolphus is enjoyable to you, he is very dear to me..

I am very fond of the idea of Rabastan lowkey being the baby brother. Not in a sense of he was this innocent sweet boy but he lowkey got a sense of security because his brother had everything handled.

As they grew up Rodolphus quickly took the role of the heir and took all the responsibility to himself, that included taking care of his little brother. Making sure he had everything he needed the entire time.

Rabastan had always been a little more chaotic than Rodolphus, while his older brother was handling all the obligations and obstacles of being a Lestrange, a name that has a horrible reputation, Rabastan was not affected, not to the extent of Rodolphus.

Some men are mother’s boys, some men are father’s boys. Rabastan? He is his older brother’s boy.

Though he lacked the precision and stoic personality of his elder brother, he had his own charm, a bright smile, a boyish charm with a better sense of humour than his brother. He also had the ability of making people adore him, just not in the way his brother did.

If Rodolphus was the brain, Rabastan was the brawn. By the time he had turned 14, he was a head taller than his brother (which made Rodolphus a little upset.) he was physically stronger, and by far a better dueller than his brother, which made them a great duo when they worked together.

Rabastan found many things boring during his school years. But Quidditch? That was very fun to him. Whenever he had the chance to stay active, it was his game.

Gilderoy Lockhart

Gilderoy never dreamed of the sea but of adventure so when he heard a Navy ship would he at the town dock he knew what he had to do. His way in? His other passion of course, writing! So he offered his writing skills to the captain to write of his adventures for him and Frank, needing an extra hand or two gladly agreed to have his research and discoveries written in decipherable handwriting.

Gilderoy my beloved!! I feel like all I do is say how obsessed I am with each character I make a moodboard for but istg its true! They just are all so special in their own way and their stories are so interesting (and I may be biased because I'm writing them but shhhh) to me! I really do hope you all will love them as much as I do!

Rabastan Lestrange

The younger of the Lestrange Brother's, he's always felt the need to prove himself and that need didn't lessen after his brother, Rodolphus got into the Navy so when he was eligible to join he did. What he didn't realize though was that by the time he could join his brother would be retired. So when he was assigned to the Mad Eye he never would have imagined these years would be some of the best of his life. Especially with an equally mischievous partner in crime like Barty Crouch Jr at his side.

Now ill be honest and say he's a more recent addition to the "cast" and I am genuinely so glad I added him because he is a character I had close to no (non-canon (🤢)) information about and have now fallen in love with. Like he's just so adorable and I genuinely can't wait for you to meet the little chaotic nerd I have in my brain! Thank you @space-girliee for helping me with these two (and putting me onto Rab!!!) Rodolphus, obsessed. Would do anything for Bella and Rita. They want to go shopping, here's some money, he'll carry the bags. Craving something specific, he'll have it to them in less than 30 minutes.

Rodolphus and Rabastan both write in cursive but in different ways. I think Rabastan would write really fast so it just passes off as cursive, if you look closer, you would just see curvy lines, no words. (so me) Rodolphus, I think, would be in actual cursive and very purposeful, he tales a little longer to write though.

I'm gonna project a quick possibility here: Rabastan developed a "shorthand" type thing where he writes scribbles but makes some letters clear so you would at least have an idea on what the word is like writing "Idea", and making sure that at least the I or D and A could be actually seen as, yk, and I or D and A. Idk I write me notes like that lol

but yes, they would def write in fancy as lettering!!

Damn not me and Rabastan having the same writing lmao. I also do a shorthand thing where it’s literally just looped scribbles for half the word and then the first and last letters and maybe the vowels are actually legible for later reading. Fun fact I also do that on assignments so that when my teachers read them they’re more likely to score me at least at passing because they can only kind of read what I wrote and therefore can’t say I didn’t get the answer. It’s a cheap trick I made up cuz I’m lazy and don’t feel like trying hard in certain classes and I feel like Rabastan would have had a similar experience in school with his major no fucks given energy to things that don’t grab his attention, so our similar strategies make sense at least to me lmao.
