During Nero and the emperor's bullshit (still haven't read the books, working on it) Lester is somehow trapped back in Ancient Greek days, as Lester. Lester is freaking out and has to get back to modern times and the only person he can think to go to for help is his wife, Perse.

Only she isn't his wife yet. Perse and Apollo are close, but Lester still isn't entirely sure when Perse fell in love with him but he's desperate to see her again. Even if Leto or Artemis were an option, would either recognize him? Would they think him an imposter? At least Perse never smote someone.

Perse, obviously, is still Percy and still has her memories of Percy, so all Lester has to do is explain what the modern day is like for her to realize, "Oh, this Lester is from around Percy's time". But she doesn't really know how to get him back too--she's been trying to find her own way back--and Lester is very delicate and alone and cute, so she keeps him with her in her temples.

Kym, chilling by the pool side as she watched Percy talk with her boyfriend on facetime: Y'know, I gotta hand it to the brat, she's smart.

Rhodes, tanning right next to her: That she is—*pause* Why did you say that?

Kym, rolling her eyes: Can't I just compliment my little sister?

Rhodes, deadpan: No

Kym, laughs: Fuck you *Calms down* but yeah, I just gotta appreciate the fact she knows how to pick 'em

Rhodes, shocked: You like Lester?

Kym: Fuck no, but we gotta admit that the brat is a genius for picking him

Rhodes, exasperated: I'm really not following your logic here

Kym, rolling her eyes: The brat's the jealous type, and it just so happens that the when she decided to date , she picked a guy who's the type no woman would ever want to take from her? Nah, that was planned

Percy: Honestly, fuck tiktok

Annabeth: Are you finally tired of people editing you to Ayesha Erotica?

Percy, instagram famous: No, they're cool, I meant fuck the relationship side of tiktok.

Annabeth, shaking her head: They really give the worst advice.

Percy: Yes! And they're always inventing new ways to make people think that their boyfriends secretly hates them! Like, in some cases? Sure, but they're just making people insecure for absolutely no reason!

Annabeth:...is there something you want to talk about?

Percy, shaking her head: Nah, I'm cool, it's just that Lester's algorithm keeps showing him 'I hate my boyfriend content' and now he thinks that I secretly hate him.

Annabeth, sighs: Why did I bother asking?*Curious* Is it really that bad?

Lester would genuinely lose any coherent thoughts he could have had for the rest of the week

A small reminder that her dad is the "Father of Monsters" for a reason.

She's like "Stay away from my man homewrecker!" (her parents may be partial to sharing but she's not. Guess but hey. To each their own orientation. Bad news for everyone who thought they still had a chance with her by JOINING the relationship rather than just hoping they breakup lol.

But seriously Percy. No one is trying to steal away LESTER.

It's part of the reason why he turned him into Lester tbh. I mean. Yeah he needed someone to blame abt the whole second great prophecy shit but also? He had to force Apollo to control his reactions and turning him into a human (while coincidentally taking away his power to do shit like that in the first place) was a nice bonus.
