The high alpine terrain at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is amazing and June 16-17th will undoubtedly be an experience you won't soon forget! We can't wait for you to experience what California Skyrunning is all about. . . DON'T FORGET! Online registration ends on Tuesday, June 20th at 11:59 pm...though we WILL have on-site registration. Additionally, we will have a pre-race meeting on Friday, June 16th 5pm at the Plaza Bar in Squaw. . . COURSE UPDATE .... there is a LOT of snow on the course! North Lake Tahoe experienced historical snowfall over the winter, but we think that is just going to add to the fun and rowdy nature of the event. Don't let the snow deter you though...with warm temps in the forecast, the course is going to be fun, safe, and one that you're going to LOVE! . . We are, however, recommending Kahtoola Microspikes and @lekiusa poles, but please note these ARE NOT required. If you are more comfortable without them, you're totally good to go! If you are on the fence, LEKI will have demos for you to try out all day Friday at the vendor village on the KT Sundeck. For all you elites out there...don't forget that we've got a total purse of nearly $13,000 for the VK and 52k as both are part of the 2017 @altrarunning @usskyrunning Series. . . But remember this...whether you finish first or last, on our course you are a rockstar!
