There’s nothing better than the weekend. It’s the time where relaxation and reflection from your activities from previous week comes in.
For most of us, weekend-ing is our favorite past-time. It allows you to sleep without setting your alarm, be active on your hobbies or try a new adventure!
But for a nifty mom like me, weekend is just spending quality time with my family. So here’s the list of what a mom can enjoy her time during #weekend.
1. Get up early
Remember this is your “me” time. You don’t have any work-related thing to do on your list. So you still have to wake up early to enjoy your weekend vibe.
2. Go out and sweat it out
Sweating helps control our mood swings by leaving us with a warm sense of well-being and relaxation. It also keep our skin and hair healthy. One of the best way to sweat it all out is to do jogging or just brisk walking inside your maaliwalas community. Researches have concluded that spending time or being surrounded by greenery can have a serious impact on long-term health and well-being. Stress reduction to absorbing vitamin D that is good for your health.

3. Declutter and organize your own space
Start with just fifteen to thirty minutes. Then take another fifteen minutes tomorrow, then another the next day. Before you know it, you’ll have cleared a whole closet or a room or your whole house without being overwhelmed by your clutter.

4. Spend time and talk to your plants at home
There’s never been a better time to be a Plant Parent. The best thing people can do to help their plants grow is provide them with light, water and mineral nutrition, but you can also whisper sweet positive things to your plants to help them with their inner growth just like our inner selves!
5. Cook healthy food
Cooking is proven as a great way for relieving stress. Head out to your local marketplace, choose to buy fresh local produce meat, vegetables and fruits and enjoy cooking your delicious home-cooked weekend meal. You may also ask your kids to help you in preparing the meal for some fun bonding activity.
6. Spend time with your family
Though getting out of your home to explore new places is necessary for a family but a weekend filled with home activities is equally fun and teaches kids the perks of creativity. Do fun indoor activities with them. Some family-friendly activities that doesn’t require you to go out: Playing with their toys, create art together, create scrapbooks, bake together, play cards or have a movie marathon.

7. Weekly reflection
Take some time to reflect on what you accomplished and prepare list on what you will accomplish on the next week. Think about what you did, what is your learnings so moving forward you can apply your learning to your practice. Consider what options you have for the next time you face a similar situation.

8. Treat yourself
It’s always a great time to recalibrate and focus on self-care. Balance is the key. In everything you do, it should be a way of thanking your body for doing its thing. Go and grab a massage, dine out, or head to get to the salon. Whatever you want to do, now is the time to give yourself some space to recover so you can feel your best again moving forward.
