I just reread the meichae fic and realized that because it's set in the pinky up era the sodani moments indicate some serious reconciliation from where the sodani fic left off 👀 especially them whispering and then leaving with dani's hand around sophia's wrist, hmm what are they up to while meichara's having their exhibitionism + cuddle session lol...
rereading is so so fun, I think this is the third time I've read the meichae fic and I notice different things every time. yoonara was really speaking to me this time. platonically or not, I wonder what lara thinks about when they're hanging out, how much she notices yoonchae's pining (was she first realizing when yoonchae asked to watch??) and how she feels after finding out, considering she kinda has what yoonchae wants (oh no that sounds angsty wait 😭)(but also, does she? cuz she's falling but they're still like bffs with benefits..). potentially somewhat less angsty, I wonder if lara notices yoonchae's whole inner conflict, with internalized homophobia(?) and feeling excluded and infantilized... yoonara talking it out or fluff or hanging out but with some gay tension or something. so many possibilities. I'm imagining!
anyway I'm really just saying whatever, tumblr's been slow today so I haven't had my daily dose of rambling in reblog tags. I'll eat up anything you write (and you must know I'm with you on the recent solarz kick)!
thank you for this ask! you're so observant :) yes, it certainly indicates something re: sodani, doesn't it. what were they up to? there is so much going on with so many dynamics! this is reminding me to try out that tool to visualize the timeline.
i would point you to "you look like a fucking painting": re, some of lara's thoughts on at least megan's interest in yoonchae. also solarz fic. but i guess you are right that it's more focused on megan's interest rather than yoonchae's. wait but it does sound angsty bc it is angsty haha. i know, i think lara's headspace about yoonchae is interesting! it's something i def have some plans to explore... i will say that i do think it's canon (within my series) that lara is pretty observant when it comes to the other girls and their desire but i also think she tends to give them a little space to figure that part out without pushing too hard (while still having a bit of fun - see also solarz fic).
