Poland’s Defense Minister @KosiniakKamysz announces that Poland will support Trump’s demand that the minimum requirement of defense spending for NATO states must be increased from 2% to 5%. Poland is spending 4.7% this year, the most in NATO. Source: visegrad24
P.S. Considering Ukraine's difficulty in getting modern weapons and the desire of some corrupt Western politicians to give the Kremlin all of Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, this is a perfectly normal proposal for Eastern Europe and NATO's northern flank. However, for this money to stay in Europe, INVEST in the local military industry and WE NEED locally produced air-defense systems, LONG RANGE MISSILES and NUCLEAR WEAPONS, and LOTS of them...!!!
The Polish armed forces are a very important ally for the Baltic states...
There is not much to expect from the "old" Western Europe (Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and etc.). They failed miserably in 2014... although since early 2000s, especially after 2006, they received VERY SERIOUS WARNINGS that the Russians (their best new friend Putin) were preparing for war against the West... and forms anti-Western political alliances and sponsors terrorist movements of various spectrums from anarchists to jihadists...
