yeah like, considering who ghira is supposed to represent both on the world stage in remnant & to both menagerie / the white fang: it's insane that he was even on the front lines anyways completely unprotected. he got shot once & his aura evaporated so he'd clearly been at the brink of exhaustion anyways, or just had a really weak aura to begin with but.

from what i read it implied the opposite, that neo’s parents wanted her to speak & there is a physical or psychosomatic cause for her inability to speak that is tied to her selective muteness. it is incredibly rare for there to be selective muteness in children that has an actual physical impairement causing it, more often selective muteness in children comes from ptsd, abuse in the home or it’s just something that happens.

You're essentially making the same overall point in both, but there are likely to be more reasons laid out as to support that point in the latter version.

More time absolutely can be used to better flesh out an argument, but just because you’ve taken a lot of time doesn’t inherently mean you’ve actually said a lot, and it’s also important to recognize that there’s absolutely such a thing as too much time as well.

For example, the average TED Talk is around 18 minutes long because TED organizers determined that 18 minutes is long enough for a speaker to flesh out an idea, but short enough that a listener could take in and understand all of the important information. When you say, take 30 minutes to an hour to critique a title crawl opening of a 2.5-hour movie, people will start getting annoyed and want you to just get on with the point. Whereas an argument made in 5-10 minutes certainly isn’t as ‘fleshed out’ as the hour long one, it’s gotten the point across and the speaker can then move on to their next argument and keep their audience’s attention. It depends a lot on what your content is, but this is just how presentation, public speaking and the human mind work.

I liked that condition when Ozpin first introduced it because I thought, “Wow! You really need to work to get Ambrosius to make you anything.” Maybe you want a duplicate of something that already exists, but that doesn’t mean you can explain how it works/have blueprints on hand. I mean, I am very familiar with my phone, but that doesn’t mean I can explain to a genie precisely how it functions and without Remnant Google on hand, I won’t be figuring that out anytime soon. So maybe the fact that the CCTV and other electronic services keep failing will pose a problem. If this wish is based purely on the knowledge a bunch of young adults with one year of schooling... that’s not a lot. If they want something new  — or a modification to something that already exists  — maybe they’ll have to go find Pietro and get the genius scientist to figure it out for them. If they want something magical, maybe they have to rely on Ozpin again. After all, he’s the only one who lived through a version of humanity where non-semblance magic was the norm. Penny might be a Maiden, but that’s a portion of his magic and, after just two days, she doesn’t understand how she summons wind or icicles  — she just does. So this could be a tense, long overdo moment of working with Ozpin and trusting him again. Regardless of what we get, it has to be something the characters work for because Oscar said it wasn’t a magic wand to wave and fix all their problems. Besides, how can RWBY give the heroes (and later the villains) a staff that literally gives you whatever you want, with no limitations on the number, no cooldown, and no real work involved in getting it? That’s insanely OP!

OH OH OH that makes way more sense, sorry! I mean, the Doylist answer is that I kind of... forgot that scene was a thing while writing? 😅 The Watsonian answer is that Qrow looked, found an abandoned, sinking city, rightly figured the evacuation was a success, and took off with the others towards Vacuo. 

In fairness to Qrow (gotta throw him a bone sometimes lol) we left him right after the crash. So he fights Harriet, Vine dies with the bomb, and then last we see they’re all staring down at Atlas currently falling/the kingdom currently flooding, frantically trying to get one of the girls on the comm system. So we won’t know whether he tried to search for them or not until we next see him. 

Though really, RWBY’s continuing ambiguity doesn’t help matters. Meaning, we know that Winter ran into Qrow and Weiss spoke with Winter, so the assumption then, when they’re fighting the Ace Ops, is that everyone is in on Team RWBY’s plan: save Penny and then evacuate everyone to Vacuo. So... why doesn’t a portal appear somewhere near Qrow? Why aren’t he and Robyn worried about whether they’ll miss the evacuation when they’re unexpectedly chasing an escaped Harriet? Like Winter does, are they supposed to head to the vault after snagging the Ace Ops? And why is Qrow looking for his nieces in Mantle/Atlas if he knows they’re leading the evacuation to Vacuo? The only detail that works for me here (that I’ve seen others criticize) is Qrow trying to call them because that’s just a natural reaction. He instinctively wants to check in and doesn’t know that the system is down. If they’re not picking up it may just mean they successfully got to Vacuo (no CCT across kingdoms anymore)... or, if they’re still here, from his perspective it might mean they’re dead. 

(Which, you know, they kind of are.)
