“Newt, it’s okay. It felt..nice.” Y/n interrupted. He thought he might as well tell him now before it ends up bad later, Newt should know. He was the first person that made Y/n feel comfortable in the Glade and he didn’t want to lie to him like that. “I’m okay with it because...I have feelings for you... and if you aren’t comfortable—or okay with that it’s completely okay and we can stay friends if you want to, you can sleep in my hut and I can just find somewhere else to sleep—” Y/n stopped talking when Newt’s lips crashed against his. The kiss soft and gentle but also desperate, feeling like a make-up from the whole misunderstanding; instead of a handshake and saying sorry—it was a kiss instead. But it was noticeable that Newt didn’t do this just to apologize by the way his hands moved down Y/n’s body, all the way down to his hips. Holding them in place as he climbed back into the hammock with Y/n. Breaking the kiss to breathe. His nose brushing against Y/n’s because of how close the two were. “You know, you already seemed really cute to me when you first came here, but a couple of weeks ago was when you started to seem really hot to me.” He admitted, chuckling quietly. Y/n was ecstatic, the boy he liked had liked him back! Well yeah, he started his crush a little later than Y/n but it’s better than nothing. “Well, you seemed ‘really hot’ to me the moment you reached your hand out for me to grab when I was all scared in the box,” he referenced Newt, admitting some stuff himself. “Well, I think it’s bloody great that you got it in that moment specifically, makes me feel like some angel by the way you’re describing it.” He laughed, Y/n laughed along. They kept sharing a couple of small kisses every now and then until falling asleep in each other’s arms.
