Send ā for our muses to share an umbrella on a rainy day.
(I think Iāll go Kaze, if you donāt mind?)
Kaze considered himself a man willing to undertake any task, no matter the conditions or the difficulty involved.Ā So, despite the rain coming down this afternoon, Kaze took to his duty as he always had before, patrolling the grounds with a watchful eye.Ā He had brought along an umbrella, but didnāt want to open it so as to not draw attention to himself.
As he was proceeding across the grounds, he spotted a figure in the distance, standing in the rain despite the downpour.Ā Confused yet suspicious as to why the figure was in the rain without any coverings, he made his way toward the figure, masking his footsteps carefully.
Upon closer inspection, it looked to be his leader, Lady Vanora - or as he knew her, Princess Renka.Ā He couldnāt understand why she was out in the rain like this, considering no one else was out here.Ā Still, he should make himself known, since she was there.Ā He popped open his umbrella and cleared his throat, hoping that would keep his words from startling her.

While it would have been easy for Alfeaux to wrestle himself away from the massive Au Ra, he didnāt want to startle him with hisā¦.unorthodox strength.
And so, he stayed as he was, awkwardly being carried away from the dodo nest heād been hoping to observe. From a distance, of course. He didnāt want to frighten the chicks (or anger their parents), after all.
Bukh'kumun had happened upon hisĀ āstakeoutā and determined, fromā¦.wherever it was Bukh'kumun inferred things, that Alfeaux was in danger. Wellā¦.he may have been. But he was no stranger to pecking attacks from territorial dodos, and was a tad upset at suddenly being lifted onto the giant manās shoulder.
āā¦I-Iām fine, r-reallyā¦thereāsā¦n-no need to worryā¦ā
@leminscatus holy hell this took me forever to finish answering orz;;(thank you though, i love talking about my muse babies)
2. How stubborn is your character?
Kio can be incrediblyĀ stubborn. Itās not apparent right away, as heās a rather passive character in demeanor. But give him an objective, a mission, a goalĀ of any sort, and he will stick to it until it is done or he dies trying. To someone who knows him well, it is easy to see his stubbornness in everything he does. Faced with impossible odds, he will strive to overcome them. He is the sort who would be an inch from death and still somehow pick himself back up and continue fighting. Itās both admirable and terrifying.
5. Does your character separate love and sex or do they tie them together?
Love and sex are two wholly separate creatures for Kio. Most of his life, he did grow up tying the two together, as he was raised traditionally Doman, but since having to flee to Eorzea and adapt to new life and a sudden multitude of ideas and perspectives, heās come to separate love and sex as two different ideas, one not necessarily needing the other to be whole.
9. How important is education to your character?
Kio values education quite a bit personally; he has been taught, however, not to judge another personās worth by the value of their formal education. He respects those who are dedicated to scholarly pursuits and thus are more knowledgeable than he is in those respects. He will not dismiss someone for lacking formal education, as he understands that not everyone has the means.
the rest under a cut so as to not clutter the dash.
10. Does your character believe in fate?
Kio believes both that certain things happen for certain reasons andĀ that pre-ordained fate can be altered.
How does that make any sense? Well, I donāt know either but that is what he is telling me.
11. Do you think Ā your character is lucky or unlucky? What do they think?
On a sliding scale of lucky vs. unlucky, Kio is near the middle though definitely in the unlucky end. Quite a few more unfortunate events have happened to him more than good, and he knows it but generally maintains an optimism most would be surprised by.
He personally thinks heās unlucky but believes bad luck will be followed by good luck always so it is just a matter of waiting for karma.14. Favorite place theyāve been to?
The Sea of Clouds, specifically Voor Sian Siran. Aggressive creatures aside, when he finds a peaceful spot, the sound of water and the breezes up there make him quite happy on the floating islands.
17. Does your character āgo with the flowā or do they tend to follow their own path?
Kio tends to stick with his own guns, rather than let everything around him decide what he must and should do. So, yeah Iād say he tends to follow his own path. His nameĀ āYukioā alludes to this (āSnow boyā implying that he gets or goes his own way).
Even as a child, he stubbornly did things his own way and would come up with different, sometimes oddball ways to do the tasks he was given.
21. Do they tend to get things done themselves, or do they rely on others?
Eh⦠both? He was raised to be a shinobi and thus can work well by himself and with others. He prefers to work alone but has no particular qualms against working with others. He has it in him to be a natural leader and cooperate with others, he just prefers not to unless itās necessary.
26. Ā Do they mind their own business or are they nosy when it comes to otherās affairs?Ā
Kio definitely keeps to himself. He doesnāt poke around in other peopleās affairs and expects them to do the same by him. He cares little for gossipmongering and idle talk and tends to shy away when conversation turns to such things.
As a result, he tends to know little of what people say or think of him and is often blind when it comes to attraction, romance, and the like (at least concerning himself, as he is astute and observant enough to note it in others).
28. How materialistic is your character?
Not. All he needs is the means to live comfortably and that is good enough for him. He has little greed in the way of material possessions, generally only buying things if he needs them and being quite satisfied with using and repairing the same old tools and items for years and years.
Heās not very frivolous at all and it is easy to tell which things have meaning to them; he only ever keeps trinkets and trifles if they have sentimental value.
When it comes to loved ones, he is the sort who doesnāt splurge on large, extravagant gifts but spoils them in little ways; affection, handmade things, tools and weapons he knows theyāll put to good use, etc.
33. Does your character respect nature, or would they stomp on it if it meant their benefit?
He grew up being taught a healthy appreciation of nature and life; basically because his profession is to take life, he was taught not to waste or defile it if unnecessary.
If he has to destroy some swath of nature for one reason or another, he would not feel happy about it though he would accept it as necessary.
