As you can see, I've drawn the characters in this art in different styles (the left Thorn is AntonBlast style, the center one is a Pizza Tower style, the right one is my style with MS Paint graffiti, and Lemin is a detailed little sprite with anti-aliasing). Well, I like these silly guys, what can I do.

Plot: Leo and Min's relationship takes a step forward during an unplanned sparring session under the stars.
Notes: FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF, Very out of chronological order, takes place in between the end season 1 and the beginning of season 2 (like the time before the start of season 2) and after they became close friends, Min says hell again! yay!, I couldn't resist writing the sillies, im sorry the actual fic where they meet will be up soon I JUST HAD TO WRITE THIS GAH, Oc x Canon-
Trigger Warning: PDA for a couple of flustered and nervous teenagers, kissing, like very close physical contact, kind of violence? not really but they are sparring- (Let me know if there are any that I missed-)
Word Count: 2420 words (ndf vbe I'm back on my writing train-)
Neither of them knew how it happened, really, what started as a normal rooftop patrol in the city of New York, turned into a sparring session under the surprisingly bright stars.Ā
Sounds of the beeping car alarms, rummaging of trash cans as well as the occasional bustling of people still walking around the city late at night seemed to slowly disappear as Min continued to spar with the blue masked mutant turtle.
The sounds of their heavy breathing and the heavy steps they took as they focused on each other, Leo giving out heavy kicks and punches at Min, who has slowly but surely learned to block a lot quicker and more effectively.
She was even able to take on the more experienced turtle as she attacked him back, able to hit him a few times.
Min could have sworn every time she was able to hit Leo, it seemed to draw a chuckle from himā¦ his dark blue eyes seemed to brighten and almost sparkle a little more as he grinned at her. But itā¦couldnāt be, there was really no reason for her to believe what she saw.
Even if the things she seemed to notice, make her heart race in her chest more than the adrenaline of the sparring session itself.
The girl was able to land a kick against the turtleās plastron, sending the turtle back a little as he let out another chuckle, mostly out of surprise from the move itself, āWowā¦. youāve really been improving in your training..ā
āAndā¦why are you saying that like itās such a surprise? I could kick your butt anyday and I think we both know it.ā, She said, blocking a punch that he had just handed out as their regular back and forth began.
āI was just saying, you improved a lot in a short amount of time. Itās really impressive, Min..ā, Leo countered, though it sounded a lot more genuine from their usual banter during their training sessions.
Minās heart gave a little flutter at the genuine comment but she focused on the task at hand, taking an opportunity to try and attack with a punch.
Ā The turtle smiled at her as he blocked her attack.
The usual wittyā¦but mostly sassy comment she expected from Leo, as she rolled her eyes at him playfully, she knew it was all fun and games when it came to their banter. She blocked one of his attacks, leaning her face closer to him.
āThough, you could still work on making sure youāre able to pin an enemy down, yāknow use their strength against them-ā
And, there it was-
She ignored how her breathing hitched when she smirked at him, chocolate brown eyes meeting dark ocean blue eyes as she couldāve swornā¦.she heard his breathing hitch too.
āI mean, if you wanna test me on it so much, we can.ā, She said casually, trying to ignore the way Leo stared at her, the way his eyes glanced down at her lips and how it made her heart pound in her chest.
Min pulled back as she let go of the turtleās arm from the previous attack, āCome on, fearless, tell me what to do, you can give me a whole demonstration too and then you can see how I do.ā
āYeah. Okay, Iāll do a demonstration.ā
She watched as Leo straightened himself up, getting into position as she did as well, the two beginning their sparring session once again. The two of them keep their laser focus on each other, blocking each otherās attacks for a few moments.
āNow focus on me and what Iām about to do, you with me, Min?ā
The girl gave a simple nod, her chocolate brown eyes locked on him as they stood close to each other, the blue masked turtle nodded. āNow, try to attack me.ā, He said, another nod shared as Min closed the gap to try and attack.
Only for Leo to grab at her hands, using some of his strength to pin her to the door of the stairway of the building.Ā
Min let out a heavy breath as she was pinned at first, bracing herself for the impact but it wasnāt as heavy or hard as she thought it would beā¦.and the grip on her hands were just as gentle. They stared at each other quietly for a moment, trying to ignore how red both their cheeks had gotten.
The turtle let go of her hands, quickly backing away.
āW..what was that?ā
The question startled the turtle slightly as he looked at Min quietly, āIā¦pinned you, I mean, I demonstrated it. Like you asked me to.ā, he wasnāt sure why she looked a littleā¦ confused.
āYou barely pinned me though! You were being soā¦off about it, I couldāve slipped my hands right through your grip from how loose it was.ā
She sees Leo flinch slightly as he crosses his arms, looking at her quietly, āIt was just a demonstration, Min. There was no reason for me to actually pin you down like I would with an opponent.ā
The tone in his voice was all too familiar, his leader's tone of voice.
āWhy not? Is it really because you were demonstrating, or was it because Iām not like you or your brothers?ā, Min grumbled, the glare in her eyes apparent as she stared at him almost in disbelief.
āThat has nothing to do with it, Min.ā
āThen why choose to go easy on me now? We were doing just fine earlier! Hell! I was able to attack you just as many times as you did me, there was literally, no reason,ā Her arms now waving around in her frustration, āFor you to go easy on me during a simple demonstration!ā
Leo sighed as he rubbed his eyebrow arch, eyes closing slightly as he was trying to figure out what to say. She was right to some extent, but it wasnāt like he was trying to actually pin her down and potentially hurt her.
āMin. Look, itās not that big of a deal. I was just showing you how itās done there was literally no reason for me to go all out, besides, itās going to take time for you to be able to pin someone down with all you stre-ā
As he was about to continue his lecture, opening his eyes to look at her, he felt her attack him suddenly, causing him to double down from the shock.Ā
He felt Min grabbing his hands with both of her own before he felt his shell hit the floor of the rooftop with a thud, his eyes closed shut once again at the impact as he heard heavy breaths above him.
Leo felt the strength, pinning both his hands on the floor as well as her body weight pinning him down, specifically one of her legs pinning him down.
His dark blue eyes opened to stare up at her, any statement about how she took advantage of him being distracted and ignoring his lectureā¦.died in his throat at the sight.
The girl above him, pinning him down. Her hair falling all over her back and gently dangling around her almost framing her faceā¦especially the bangs and the hair at the front.
The moonlight, a rarity for the city skyline, shining down on her..giving an angelic glow to her face.
Leo could feel his breathing hitch, especially when he saw her chocolate brown eyes sparkling, rivaling the stars in the skyā¦her face formed a smirk that made his heart pound in his chest.
āYou meanā¦.like that, Leo?...ā
The teasing tone in her voice made Leoās heart almost stop. She was teasing, she was teasing him and his heart canāt take it, the smirk on her face made his soul leave his body.Ā
Min continued to smirk at him, soft pants escaping her from the strength she had to use to pin him down, she looked down at himā¦ how he was staring at her.
The way he was utterly speechless as he stared, realizing how bright his dark ocean blue eyes were shiningā¦.she was unsure if it was because of the moonlight shining down on them or becauseā¦his eyes were just that lit up at the moment.
The two of them stared at each other quietly, faces inches apart. She felt her cheeks grow warm and turn red as sheā¦she swore she saw the same happening to Leo. Their eyes locked on each otherā¦her heart was racing, she wasnāt sure if it was the adrenaline or from how close they were.
She could feel how dried up her throat was fromā¦.everything, her feelings are going haywire as she attempted to say something to break the silent tension, she had to.Ā
She canāt mess up this friendship with her messy feelings for the turtle.
āL..leo?.... A..are you okay?.. D..did that hurt? I didnāt hurt you did I?..ā, Her voice was quiet, she could barely speak from the heart thumping anxiety she was feeling.
Leo felt his anxiety spike for a moment as his eyes widened slightly, for a short moment his heart pounded harder against his plastron, he wasnāt even sure that was possible.
"..N..no! No, I...I'm fine! I...just......"
His voice died in his throat again as he continued to stare at Min, her beauty absolutely rendering him speechless. He was staring with so much admiration in his eyes that it almost made the girl above him shy away..
But she spoke up quietly instead, ā...y..yeah?..ā
The blue masked turtle saw the way his friend was starting to shy away a little, his heart pounding stillā¦.his gaze on her softened, dark blue eyes admiring her with so many feelingsā¦
He gathered up his courageā¦.and spoke up again, his voice in a whisper almost as if he didnāt want to scare her.
ā...i....I think....I really want to kiss you..."
There was a moment of silence, a moment of silence that lasted way way too long for Leoās liking, as he saw the surprised look on Minās faceā¦how her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red.
As he stared at her in the silence, he felt his anxieties heightened over what he said, the doubts starting to cloud his head. āWhat were you thinking Leo!? This is Mikeyās best friend, WEāRE friends?! I canāt believe I said that, I messed this up, GOD LEO SAY SOMETHI-ā
ā...okayā¦ā
The soft shy tone of her voice snapped him out of his thoughts, his head turned to look up at her again. Seeing the shyness appearing on Minās faceā¦it wasā¦a sight to see, if Leo was honest.Ā
She was always so confident, rebellious and wittyā¦
But at this moment?... she was shy, flusteredā¦ cheeks red and her eyes glancing away from him almost in an attempt to turn away from him.
He wasā¦speechlessā¦both at the sight but also at what she said. Truthfully, he had expected a bonk to the head for what he just said.
ā...what?..ā, He couldnāt think of much else to say to her response, he was already struggling to process it.
ā......I want to kiss you too, Leoā¦ā
And there it was, the thing that broke any and all resolve in Leoās head. He felt his cheeks grow warmer than ever before as he stared at her.
Words dying in his throat as he couldnāt even say anything elseā¦
All he could do was nod slowly, like an idiot as he admired her, while slowly but surely their faces leaned closer to each other.
Their faces an inch apart as half lidded dark ocean blue eyes stared into chocolate brown ones before he felt Min close the distance between them. Their eyes closed as her lips softly pressed against his.
They kissed softly, both being so gentle with each otherā¦ as if the other would break if they werenāt.
Leo felt Min slowly tangle her fingers in between his own three fingered hand, squeezing his hand gently as her other hand trailed away to cup his cheek softly. He moved his free hand to her soft hair, running his three fingered hand through it softly.
They could both hear their hearts pounding from how close they were to each other, cheeks growing warmer as they soon pulled away, soft panting breaths escaping as they both opened their eyes wanting this moment to lastā¦just a little while longer.
Min squeezed his hand as she turned her face away after a short moment moving her other hand away from his cheek as she let out a few short breaths, there was a nervousness thereā¦.Ā
Some form of fear or anxiety that Leo noticed as he moved the hand that was in her hair carefully to her cheek, turning her head back to look at her lovingly as he leaned his head forward to plant a soft kiss on her forehead.
A quiet confession as he cradled her face against his hand, tucking the falling strands of hair behind her ear and squeezing their connected hands back.
And he sees her smile, emotional and shy but genuine and happy.
Min leaned forward, pressing their foreheads together tenderly, almost trying to reciprocate the quiet confession he had given her as well. They stayed like this, holding each other for a moment.
The bustling and loud noises of the city below them doing little to really bother their quiet moment together.
Leo continued to admire Min, his dark ocean blue eyes sparkling and shining at the sight of her, eyes closed and their foreheads touchingā¦.how loved and safe she felt at that moment melted his heart.
But soon he felt her eyes open, both staring at each other lovingly before Min leaned forward to kiss his forehead gently as she picked herself up, using their connecting hands to help pull him up as well.
The both of them struggle for a moment to get back on their feet, as the girl he loves so much squeezes her hand and looks up at him.
The adoration and love in her chocolate brown eyes made them shine, a spark evident in them as she grinned, the confidence in it coupled with the affection from their first kiss earlier, āBest 4 out of 5, fearless?...ā, she asked, a playful hint of love in her voice.
He grinned at her, the same spark evident in his ocean blue eyes when Min looked into them.
