This kitchen is a plug and play system that is using power supplies, an Independence dimmer with two receivers, interconnect cables and custom flex strips.

Measure available space for flex:

Start by measuring out the entire length of the area where the flex strips will be mounted. Once you have the full measurement of an area, you will need to subtract 3” in order to make room for the cable connectors on each side. Before measuring the cabinets, it is a good idea to know where you plan on mounting the flex strips.

This kitchen lighting is a plug and play system using a plug in power supply, in-line switch, two custom flex strips and an over the microwave “Y” cable.

Start by measuring out the entire length of the area where the flex strips will be mounted. Once you have the full measurement you will need to subtract 3” in order to make room for the cable connectors on each side. For this project, the customer had decided to mount the flex strip along the front edge of the cabinet facing towards the backsplash in order to highlight the backsplash and help eliminate the reflection off of the counter top. This also allowed the customer to use one long strip on the right side of the microwave instead of having to use two flex strips and another cable.

Once you have the full measurement you will need to subtract 3” in order to make room for the cable connectors on each side. For this project, the customer had decided to mount the flex strip along the front edge of the cabinet facing towards the backsplash in order to highlight the backsplash and help eliminate the reflection of the LED’s off of the counter top. This also allowed the customer to use one long LED strip on the right side of the sink instead of having to use two flex strips and another cable.
