Quite a lot, both in very intense, longing terms... and more practical ones, considering the danger inherent in some of Defiant’s duties and her nature as a soldier.
She has put a lot of thought into the practical question of, “What if I die?”, and has a very neatly organized series of letters and wills that she regularly updates and prepares to deliver in the case of her death... and prepares occasional ‘traps’ consisting of materials that’ll be sent out if she doesn’t return and stop them within a certain time frame. Usually she gets them ready before going to confront someone when she fears she might not walk away... and usually they’re simply aimed at providing all the information needed to solve her own future murder.
Because she does know that she’s vulnerable. It’s something that’s been deeply ingrained in her since she was a child... to watch for how people could hurt and kill her, and recognize that potential no matter how casual or friendly the circumstances. There’s few friends who she couldn’t tell, in exactly detail, JUST how they’d be able to kill her if they decided to. It’s, you know, it’s friendly! It’s just habit!
On the flip side, Defiant’s put a lot of thought into what it means to end a live... on the battle field, as equal opponents; out of battle, with one at a disadvantage. While she won’t hesitate to kill someone if she’s resolved to, when she isn’t sure... she can be extremely stubborn and loud about trying to protect even her enemies from death, and has made a personal vow not to allow someone to be killed if she has ANY hesitations about whether or not it should be done.
