Hello everyone! So before we start I'd just like to remind y'all that the same thing doesn't work for everyone. So if these tips aren't for you, feel free to send me an ask and I'll be willing to help you out!
1) Clean your studyspace daily: Folks I'm not lying when I say that cleaning my desk a little bit every morning did wonders for me. First of all it helps you feel productive and personally, a neat desk makes me more inclined to study.
2) Keep a place to organise your thoughts: now by this I don't mean but a super expensive planner or start a bullet journal but (especially when you're super busy), write down things you have to do and just plan out your day a little. You can dedicate a small notebook for this purpose.
3) Have a good sleeping schedule: Don't vary your sleep schedule too much! Your body will hate you if sometimes you sleep at 8 and wake up at 6, whereas some days you sleep at 1 and wake up at 10. A good and fixed sleeping routine is great because your body will get used to it, and so will you!
4) Make sure you know what's going on with school/ your notes: Your notes or homework shouldn't be all over the place! Personally I like to keep one notebook per subject, and a rough notebook to take notes in class. Of course you could just use a good old binder.
5) Plan things out: Whether it's a party or exam season, planning never hurts! In my opinion planning gives you a good rough overview of things you need to get done.
6) STOP BEING LAZY!!! Self discipline can be key in getting shit done and staying organised and happy. Indulge in self care, but make sure your future self ain't drowning in so much work they can't take a day off.

practiced some Russian on duolingo
worked on a few Russian assignments
studied some of the material for my class in political science
proof read my essay in jurisprudence and made some changes to it
took a nice stroll in the sunny winter weather
read a few chapters from my research handbook, for a class i'm doing an independent book exam in, and i even managed to write some notes on them
applied for a few summer jobs! now i just have to keep my fingers crossed that i get some interviews
i still can't believe how i accidentally wrote 1,200 words in my jurisprudence essay even though the assignment seemed impossible at first! tomorrow i'm planning to have a more chill day because i've been trying to tone down the inner critic by working hard and accomplishing things, which is something i really need to work on!

A bud & I are doing an all-day study session at the library today. I got rejected from some internship opportunities, so now I gotta do some damage control and apply to as many as I can this weekend, oops. But I also got confirmation that I’ll be attending a hackathon later this month, and I’m super excited; it’s gonna be my first!

I've noticed quite a few people have problems with this subject, so here's a little guide to help you manage chem!!
1) Realise that it's an understanding based subject: Most of the people I've talked to think chemistry is just learning, but it's really not. Everything is happening because of something and once you understand your basics, your brain will automatically start making links.
2) Know your basics: As I mentioned above, knowing your basics is the most important thing. If you don't have a clear base of how things work then you won't be able to understand properly & will just end up learning.
3) STOP LEARNING REACTIONS: Reactions aren't learning based either!!! There's a simple rule for each reaction and if you apply that and balance it, you'll get the required reaction. (Base + Acid -> Water + Neutral Salt). Of course there can be exceptions to this rule.
4) Become good at nomenclature: Nomenclature is a pretty big part of chemistry and it's not that hard! Know the rules of nomenclature and practice hard until you get the names of your compounds right everytime.
5) Use mnemonics! Ok I'm not going to lie, there's very little chances you're gonna research and spend lots of time to understand why which elements are there in the earths crust, so make a mnemonic so it helps you! (Mine is Oh Shit Allowance fees can near kill my hungry tiara = oxygen silicon aluminium iron cacium sodium potassium magnesium hudrogen titanium)
