december 11, 2019 | i’m sorry that i’ve been so inactive! here are some bio notes from september, back when i had motivation to make cute headers haha :) taking notes is so so useful, especially in a class where there’s a lot of things to keep track of (like bio). i definitely plan to be more active; i’ll be posting more soon! excited to get back in the swing of things :)

halfway through the term and I’m missing the holidays more than ever
also my earphones stopped working because my mum thought it would be a good idea to put them through the wash so I am lowkey emo rn ;;;
Finished the book "Never Enough: The Neuroscience and Experience of Addiction" by Judith Grisel. After taking a class on psychopharmacology, it was really cool to read this book a few months later and feel like I had a good grasp on the concepts discussed. The author of the book is an addict turned neuroscientist and had a really interesting, informative perspective. One quote I really liked near the end of the book was, "...the majority of scientific progress is measured by improvements in the questions we ask rather than the finality of our answers."
I'm now reading "She Has Her Mother's Laugh: The Powers, Perversions, and Potential of Heredity" by Carl Zimmer and a textbook on body image (my friend is taking a summer class on the psychology of body image and sent me the textbook, b/c I'm so jealous I couldn't take the class this summer).
