Teaching flourishing again tonight with my Thursday crew, so I hope they’re as excited about ovals as I am (spoiler: they are, I love this group) and gearing up for two workshops in Melbourne on 22 June - introductory miniscule, and a majuscules workshop for beginners and advanced. When you think you’re doing so well and then in the last swoop you lose it and put pressure down where you shouldn’t ... sigh. I still love writing with gouache though. It’s so smooth and creamy, and it almost never bleeds on any surface. Also, my desk is covered in palettes of it after the last few days of painting adventures, and I don’t like to waste! .
