Lack of Passion is (not) Fatal
@leakypen
You responded fast =)
I don't have passions in my life, except for friendships with a few select people. And I have been told that it doesn't really count and/or it is bad to not have passions that are your own. And even further, some people believe that everyone DOES have a passion, though they just don't know it yet. I used to be one of those people who tried to look for passions in life and whatnot, but I've started coming to the conclusion that maybe there are people who just don't have passions in their life, and maybe I'm one of them, and that that should be perfectly Ok.
I mean, I still have preferences in life and things I do. I play video games, gone skydiving once (and plan to again one day), enjoy snowboarding and all that. But if I never get to do those things anymore, it's just as well.
But, the majority of the world doesn't seem to agree with that. In fact, there's been a saying that I've noticed going around: "Lack of Passion is Fatal". I mean, I'm still alive as far as I can tell, and it kind of annoys me that a saying like that exists. I understand that people are positive about passion. In fact, I think passion must be pretty awesome to have, and to a degree I envy people who have them. But I think the negativity towards a lack of passion is a little uncalled for, though I suppose that's not exactly the way people are thinking about it when they post the quote. Or maybe they are.
I just wanted to ask some people for their opinions on the matter, ranging from those who have a lot of passion, to those who have little or none.
