Agere trick #2
There's no age in Build-A-Bear. There's no age in the Disney store either. If people are giving you weird looks because you're an adult they're the ones with a problem, not you (This of course applies to other stores but I can't think of any at the moment, sorry)
Mini Story time; I was at the Disney store with my parents. We took a train to Madison square garden and it was one of the places we stopped at. I'm looking around and picking up stuff I wanna buy when this worker stops me and asked me if "I wanted to take a lion king or a Frozen photo" and my mom just, before I can answer goes, "Oh actually she's twenty. I know she looks younger but yeah she's too old for that" and the worker straight up just goes "There is no age at the Disney store" and turns to me, waiting for my response. She also asked me if I wanted to try on a princess dress. So that was nice.
Oh yeah and story for build-A-Bear. I told my therapist I'm gonna go to the radio thingy one on Monday and that's it like really big and I'm super excited. I also admitted to being nervous about what others would think and she looked at me like "Well if you saw an adult by themselves making a bear would you think it's weird?" And I told her "No" and she was like "and even if somebody does give you a weird look it's not your problem, it's the other person's". Then she proceeded to tell me a mini like 2-5 min story about how she also loves build-A-Bear and went just a few months ago.
Oh yeah and ANOTHER thing. I told her about my age regression and hell she even knows about my Paci's. She's the one who convinced my mom to let me order one. Under the guise of "I'm using it to sleep" which IS true, you know but I also just chill with it 😅. So it's like half truth. I'm just omitting stuff.
