Summary :law and emotions are not a good combination,law bursts at reader and reader ends up comforting him

Note : literally firsts scenario I write so tell me any mistakes or notes

“Hey hey it's ok” you are trying your best to shush the poor girl lying in your arms, screaming and crying hysterically

“What's her name??” you asked still cradling the poor girl in your arms, she seemed 5 or 6 maybe ?

“Lami” the little boy answered seeming scared himself trying to put on a strong face “her name is Lami” he said those words and started crying

“Hey lami, what a sweet name you have” you tried to keep a smile on to the girl and the boy both of them seemed in a bad state “ Lami baby it is ok” you said with a soothing voice hugging the girl tight to your chest playing with her hair trying to comfort her

“Ma-Ma mama mama” sobs interfering each word and gasps escaping the little one

“They killed mama!” her sobs and screaming was already aching your heart and the little one word’s also caused another breakdown to the elder

He was trying to act strong ‘you thought’

You can't do anything, all that surrounds u are trees in the middle of the forest, it was supposed to be a peaceful walk with you and him away form the city but nothing prepared you to see such a sight in a calm place.

“Come on lami, look at me, breathe in and out ok?” you tried your best to calm her she was young,so young for whatever she saw,she was covered in blood not her own you assumed “ I am here with you ok ?” she seemed to have a better breathing pattern “and your big brother is here too” she didn't answer all she did was hug you

And it pained you so much

You didn't have to know a lot but seeing the blood on both kids and from the screaming the little boy did you realized that there mother was killed

How and who you didn't know

But apparently the two poor things have been wandering by them selves for around a day

You carried her and turned around

“Law?”

He seemed out of place just staring down at you and the younger ones giving you a blank stare

“Are you ok?” you said looking at him

It's not kids its something else, it's not the first time you two see something like that in fact you've seen worse but..,each time he held off a cold demeanor and stayed calm and acted accordingly, this time it's not like he panicked or anything but…

He is not acting like the usual law you know

He broke out out of his thought and said what almost same out as an unintentional snap at you

“Do you want me to carry her or something?!”

He himself was shocked of his response and your reaction to what he said wasn't far away form his own

“No”..you sighted “no I just want to bring both of them to the polar tang” you kept a calm face staring at him unsure why he was acting like this

Silent

“Oh”.. “Ok”

You started to walk with Lami on your shoulder and implied to the boy to follow you and he did, you walked a bit, then started to slow down when you noticed law is not following so you turned your body to face him.

He stared at you and realized he hasn't moved yet

“I can” he starteled a bit

“ I can shamble us back “

You gave him a questionable look

“As you want”

He gave you a nod and shambled all four back to the tang

Finally feeling at ease being on the tang, little girl already asleep clutching on you and a little boy seeming so scared and lost

and your man

Your man acting weird

“Law I will take both to the infirmary”

He stared at you

“Do whatever” he stormed out of the room

His response was odd, to him he never hesitated to give medical assistance to anyone in need, especially children, you weren't even sure if any needed medical assistance but the least he could do was check on them

He is a doctor

It was his pride

You went to the infirmary with the two,laid Lami on the bed while asking the boy

“And you, what's your name”

He seemed stupidly shocked by your question

“Oliver…my name is Oliver”

You gave a smile “and how old are you”

“9 and lami she is 5”

You ruffled his hair still keeping on a smile

“Did any of you get injured ?”

You already inspected both, yeah they both had dry blood on their clothes but no visible injuries

“No not anything important at least..but mum” he stared down and stated “pirated chopped her head off”

U didn't have a proper response, what can you even say ‘oh listen boy the world is unfair and bullshit?’ all you did was wrap your arms around him, he was frozen in space at first but he managed to hug you back

“You can cry you know….you don't have to act strong”

And that was the breaking point, he cried hysterically, so loud so agonizing, so painful, you rubbed his back

“Let it go”

He finished, he calmed down, detached himself and wiped his tears

“Thank you” was all he managed to say

You gave a weak smile and told him you will be right back

You head to Law’s room, knocking on the door

No answer

You knocked again

“Get lost!” was all you heard

You ignored him and just entered the room

“I thought I said get lost?!” he said in an unrecognizable tone, at least not a tone he would use on you, having a bunch of papers in front of him on the desk giving you a death stare.

“What's wrong?”

“What do you mean what's wrong” still same state and same hurting tone

You tried to keep your compusure and calm state

“You are acting weird..since we found the lami and oli…” he cutted you off mid sentence

“I am just in a bad mood ok?now get out!”he glared at you before returning back to his paper work

Instead of walking out you approached him, yeah sure his words fucking hurted but, law is not a man to act like this out of nothing

“You should at least check on them” you said in a calm tone staring at his back

“They seemed In a fine state to me” he spat out still his back still facing you

“ Lami and Oliver have been in the forest for about a day now..they may have a food poisoning or something from the forest and I already saw minor cuts on both of them so can you..”

You said while approaching while trying to rest his hand on his shoulder but then he slapped your hand and cutted you off again

“I said get the fuck out !” he didn't say it, he screamed it

You stared at him, tears threatening to fall

“We were literally fine minutes before we met them!” you screamed back

“And now I am not!” he sat in silence looking at your face now “or do you thing you are the only one that gets her stupid mood swings?”

You stared at him,more like glared at him, and left

Went to your room to gather some clothes that might fit the two

Lami was already awake and talking with Oliver

You checked both for cuts and wounds and took Lami to bath her and offered Oliver an empty shower and told him to take his time, took care of lami that seemed a lot more calm now and went to the kitchen to cook both of them a meal

“Thank you so much” Oliver said and Lami said right after him copying her brother “Thank u sister”

“Hey her name is not..oh right what's your name, sorry for not asking earlier”

You gave him a small smile “call my y/n….i know both of you are starving but food will be ready in minutes ok”

You tossed the tray in the oven

“I will be right back”

You went to your room to use your den den mushi to Call ikkaku, you explained the situation to her and told her to buy some clothes to both, explaining age and size precisely.

You fed both of them and offered some old comic books for them to pass time

“It's not fair I can't read!” you chuckled at Lami response for the you offering the comics, you were happy that she was easing up and not thinking about what happened to their mum

“ I will read for you lami stop annoying y/n” Oliver stated and gave a funny look to lami

“Fine fine you two stay here and read “

You didn't quite comprehend the situation, call it trauma response but you were glad they are not having a breakdown every five minutes, at least they still have a father is what you told yourself, their father left for a business trip and will be back in 3 days, 3 days to take care of the poor souls and then you can give them to their dad, how Oliver talked about him assured you he is actually a good man so you knew you are leaving them in safe hands

but what was currently consuming you alive was Law

He never acted like that, never screamed at you…man he never slapped your hand when you tried to touch him

He always leans into your touch no matter how heated things get between you two

What is happening to him?

Ikkaku, bepo,shachi, penguin, and the rest of the crew came back, while ikkaku already explained the situation for the rest everyone tried to ease both kids and make them forget about the incident

Stupid jokes from shachi and penguin

Bebo cuddling up with lami till she slept with her new clothes that ikkaku bought

You stared at all of them part of you was comforted and part of you still thinking about him, it's been all day and he still didn't get out of his room you thought

Man he didn't even eat, you wanted to go back in, talk to him ask him Confront him anything! But after he talked with you like that for no reason you just couldn't bring yourself to do so, if he stormed at you again you will lose it and you didn't want that

You told bepo to deliver his food but he refused to even open the door

Your mind was exhausted from him from all the tears you saw this day, from the venting you heard and comforting you did

You were stressed and exhausted and it showed in your face clearly,ikkaku asking if you are ok and you simply replied that both of you and law had a fight, over what? you yourself don't know

All the thoughts rumbling in your head were cut by him walking in the common room where all of yall are gathered

“Both of you get out of my sight”

He was staring at lami and Oliver, both seemed startled and not sure how to react to the scary man above them with eyes that felt like they were hunting them down

You didn't know how to react either, he is not like himself and the past encounter with him didn't help your thoughts either, you approached the two pointing to the corridor and telling them to go to your room trying to keep a smile on

After you were sure they were gone and while the crew still starring at law, not really having an idea of the reason behind his anger nor you did

You didn't want to argue with him but your own anger was seeping in your system so you just glared at him instead of saying anything

“Don’t fucking stare at me like that” the tension was rising in the room as much as a his own tone

You just gave the same death stare at him “or what?”

“Don’t fucking test me y/n”

“They are fucking kids' law !”

“And we are pirates y/n”

His answer saddened you and something inside you seemed to snap, pirates? He despised pirates that are rude to civilians and used their authority above them

Especially childrens

You were devastated, wanted to cry, shout and the moment of sad silence you had turned back in into anger but knowing that whatever conversation with your boyfriend ‘captain’ at the moment is probably useless in his current state

So You rolled your eyes at him and moved your eyes away from him moving towards your room “good night guys”

You went in and prepared a place for lami and Oliver to sleep in a room next to yours, and started getting ready for bed, staring at yourself in the mirror while brushing your teeth trying to think of a reason for his action you were desperate to justify what the fuck caused him to act this way

But there was no reason no matter how hard you tried to look for one

You snuggled into your bed trying to catch some sleep in the hope of easing the stupid headache that had accompanied you all-day and the fact that his usual comforting smell of him was all over your sheets didn't help with your thoughts or your stupid headache

How can you be so mad at someone yet miss them this bad? You cursed how stupid you sounded

‘Idiot’ you mumbled to yourself

Probably an hour passed by and sleep didn't seem like it was coming anytime soon, all you could do was staring the ceiling above you

Till you heard a knock on your door, you rushed to open, part of you scared that something happened since it is such a late hour for anyone to knock on your door.

You opened only to find law in front you with an expression that you never saw him wearing

‘Sad’

Yeah sure you saw him angry, devastated, cheesy, embarrassed, happy…but this?

Till him clutching on you,hugging you cutted of your thoughts

‘Oh’ you just hugged him back letting him in and closed the door all while he still connected to your body, you walked him into your bed sitting him down leaving his embrace and looking at him staring down

He stared down with his hand covering his face and waited for him to talk but all you faced was silence and heavy breathing filling the room, so you slightly moved next to him hugging his back trying to soothe him to talk

And nothing prepared you for what came next

Heavy sobs and gasps filled the room your own face was shocked

‘He is crying’

It was painful to watch a man as law

Crying

which for how long you've known him already was never this vulnerable in front of you

Or in front of anyone

You just hugged him tight which increased his own cries, you tried to move him till he faced your body, and removed his hands from his face, removing his tears and rubbing them dry trying to calm him down

“Its ok”…a Calm raspy voice escaped your mouth “You are ok”

His orbs staring at you while you still cupped his face with your hands then stared down

“My sister..” was all he managed to say

“Did she remind you of her ?” your mind started to connect the dots of what was in his mind

“My sister's name was lami”

You hugged him resting his head on your chest and stroking his hair trying to find a proper response

“You would think I am insane if I told you both have the same cry “

You held him tighter to your embrace and gave him a kiss on his hair

“You are not insane law”

She could feel him trembling beneath her, she had never seen him like this , and God it is so fucking painful

“Y/n…I fucking miss them,mum,dad,lami and …and Cora San”

“I am sure they are so proud of you law….they are in a better place now “

“I stormed at you earlier, I've acted like a dick and I scared the kids and..”

He went silent

“I am so fucking sorry y/n”

She stroked his hair again trying to calm him down

“It's ok love”

He gave her a slightly cracked voice

“It's not fucking ok”

She replied with a soothing demeanor “just next time tell me those thoughts out loud, I can't read your mind”

“It's so fucking pathetic, look at me i just cried in your...”

She cut his silence off

“Law it's not pathetic” she says “I want you to get things off your chest I am your partner this is the least I can do”

“But..”

“No but law,if situations were reversed would you want me to pent things up inside of me ?”

“Well of course not but..”

“Stop with the but thing law !” She hugged him tight

At the moment all law was feeling was relief and a heavy feeling lifted of his chest,you were his everything and the thought of losing you too pained him too much to even think about it and the fact it can happen any minute wasn’t something that left his mind at all

he just kept feeling that the moment that you abandon his sight you will be gone like everyone else.

He detached himself from you only to hold your face

He stared at you precisely on your lips all he wanted now was to feel your lips on his

He stared at your face while all he thought of was ‘I love you’ pushing you down to the mattress and pressing his lips on yours,started deepening the kiss and only left your mouth leaving a room for you to breathe only to move on to your jaw attacking it ,moving on to your neck sucking the tender flesh beneath him while his hands roamed over your body

You were panting under him not finding enough air to fill your lungs

He gasped out

“I love you”

You smiled at the the words and the ways his face looked so flushed In front of you

The familiar yellow orbs staring right at you

Snuggeling Hc with Law

It might appear that there is not enough time for the Captain to spent with his s/o, but he actually takes the time

He is the Captain, so he can manage his own time and nobody in his crew would ever tell him to shorten his freetime, since they know what he was like before you came along

He always overworked himself, never took time off. Law worked deep into the night and woke up early to start all over again.

When you came along it changed. He still works a lot of course, but he stopped working in the evening hours, because this is your time.

In the evening you usually read, while sitting next to each other, play chess together, sit together with the crew or sit in your shared cabin and talk. 

Sometimes you like to just take his jacket, because it looks great or smells like him? Who knows.

It´s way to big on you, but it is more comfy than it looks. Law does not get your need to wear it at first, because you “have your own clothes” , but over time he realizes that he is actually extremely into the sight of you in his clothes.

He will smuggle, his old hoddie (pre-timeskip, the yellow-black one) into your side of the closet by “accident”

The later it gets the more touchy the captain becomes.

It usually starts very slow. At first he´ll pull you closer while talking, play with your hair, kisses your knuckles. Then he kisses you slowly

If your were sitting up he will lay down with you and pull you into him

10/10 loves spooning

His Character changes during your private moments. He is way more open ( but it took him a long time to trust you fully)

One would think that he is a closet perv and he is …sometimes, but usually he keeps his hands in acceptable places.

He sees you as his salvation, especially in these moments. Law knew that his crews loves him, but he still felt lonely sometimes until he met you.

■ Initiates affectionate and sexual acts in rather subtle ways to see how you respond and makes sure you are in the mood and interested in being affectionate and/or sexual with him. He’ll touch or play with your hair or hold your hand, running a hand along your arms or thigh.

■He likes cuddling with you while he’s on his back and your next to him lying on your side towards him or even lying on top of him a bit or instead of lying down, sitting with his back to the head board of the bed and you sitting between his legs with your back to his chest, he’ll run his hands up along your sides underneath your shirt.

■ While sitting like this he can like resting his chin on your shoulder and whisper in your ear, loving or suggestive things though not exactly dirty talk. Tends to touch or cuddle with you in ways he knows you like, if you like your hair to be played with or stroked, or hugged, kisses on your neck or collarbone, he can tailor a lot of actions to what you like.

■ He may not even push for sex if he feels like you need more attention at the moment and instead of regular sex, he may push for a heated make out session and touching or fingering you. Especially if you are sitting in front of him between his legs with your back to his chest, because he can easily run a hand down your side and slide his hand underneath your clothes and between your legs.

■ Gently kisses and sucks on your neck while touching you he may leave some light hickeys along your neck and shoulder, but typically doesn’t like to leave very visible hickeys on you and if he does, he will try to leave them in places where they are easy to hide or cover up.

☰ Law

■ Happy to see you in the morning especially if you slept peacefully with him he won’t wake you if you are still sleeping because he won’t want to wake you up or bother you if you are still sleeping peacefully, he will prefer to let you wake up on your own.

■ Won’t really touch you either because he won’t want to wake you up but he may lightly touch or brush your hair back from your face while you are still asleep, but not to the point where he could accidentally wake you up.

■ Typically, he won’t stray too far from you in the morning either staying in bed with you until you wake up or getting up and getting ready for the day but staying in the bedroom with you until you wake up unless he has things to do. But for the first week or so sleeping in the same bed he’ll want to stay close to you.

■ Though if you wake up first and don’t wake him up, he can be almost surprised to see you when he does wake up for a brief moment but then can be rather affectionate towards you. Pulling you towards him into a warm embrace, touching or playing with your hair or holding your hands.

■ If you do wake up before him and wake him up, he can seem a little annoyed, at first before becoming loving and affectionate with you. Playing on stroking your hair and head, hugging or cuddling with you for a while before getting up.

☰ Sanji

■ Absolutely thrilled to see you in the morning and if he’s the one that wakes up first, he is very likely to wake you up as well, whether by accident or on purpose because he will want to hug or cuddle with you and because of this he can wake you up most likely accidentally by touching your face or hair, or even by pulling you closer to him for a hug.

■ Though if you wake up before him whether if you wake him up or not, he will still be very positive and affectionate towards you from the moment he wakes up. Wanting to cuddle and be close to you especially if there’s no reason the two of you need to be up like if neither of you have any plans for the day

■ Because it is the first time the two of you have slept in the same bed together, he won’t be in a rush to get up or out of bed even after you’re both awake. In fact, he may only move to get up and ready for the day if others bother the two of you

☰ Zoro

■ Doesn’t show a big interest in your drawings even though he can be pretty curious, in fact if you sketch while sitting near or next to him, he’ll actually watch you draw but not in a very obvious way, more like occasionally glancing at your drawing or watching out of the corner of his eye.

■ He doesn’t really say anything about your drawings, sketches or your talent in general unless you ask for his opinion or what he thinks of a particular drawing. Though he can speak up if he sees a drawing of yours that catches his eye, or if he likes a particular thing you drew or how you drew it.

■ He will acknowledge your artistic skills positively if you ask for his opinion or if anyone else were to criticize your talent. He just generally doesn’t feel the need to praise you unprovoked.

■ He can show a bigger interest in your drawings if you draw something more up his alley. but he will never ask you to draw anything specific for his sake. And can seem surprised if you do draw anything you think he may like or if you draw something for him.

☰ Law

■ Actually, shows a genuine curiosity in your drawings and sketches he’ll want to see your portfolio or past drawings, he doesn’t praise you constantly but does recognize your talent especially the first time seeing your drawings he’ll tell you how skilled you are and how nice your drawings are

■ He can even make suggestions of things he would like to see you draw, more so just to test what you can do. Pointing out things and saying "you should sketch that." and it can be anything from a flower, an insect, an animal, a landscape or building or anything else, he’s curious just what all you can sketch.

■ Likes seeing you draw or what you drew when you are done but doesn’t always ask or make you show him, but he will like seeing new sketches you do especially sketches you are happy with or proud of.

■ First, he won’t plan to have children until the two of you have talked about things, he really won’t want to make you choose between him and your crew. He’ll want to talk about what to do before having children.

■ That doesn’t mean he’s against having children he’ll be fine with it especially if you really want to be a mother, he’ll just want to discuss a game plan for where the baby will live, who it stays with or if the baby will be passed back and forth.

■ He will not want to discuss these things after the fact to find out that the two of you can’t agree on what would be best for the baby, which over all that’s what he’ll be most concerned about whatever is in the best interest for the baby especially as they grow up.

■ That also doesn’t mean that accidents can’t happen and the two of you can figure things out as you go, he can be fairly easy going and open to your thoughts and opinions because he wants you to be happy just like he wants his child to be happy.

■ Does prefer for the baby to stay with you whether that means you stay with the strawhats or join his crew or just visit his crew for a few days/weeks then go back to the strawhats. But he will not want to separate the baby from you while they are very young, even if that means he doesn’t get to spend as much time with the baby.

■ But he will make up for it when he is with you and the baby he just won’t feel comfortable separating the two of you, he’ll want you and the baby to have that mother child bond and can see it as in the best interest for the baby especially if you choose to breast feed.

■ It won’t be until the child is older like around toddler age that he will try to ease the child into being around the Strawhats some times and then being around his crew other times, not all at once or for long periods because he’ll want the child to be comfortable with meeting new people and getting use to them.

■ He’s most comfortable with moving the child back and forth between the two of you and the crews, but also makes time for the two of you to be together with the child too whether that means him coming to visit you and the Strawhats for awhile or you coming to visit him and his crew for a while.

■ Though the child will honestly grow up being so loved between the two crews that they may not even really notice or be upset with both parents not constantly being together in person. Because the crews will be like a very close and large family that will be spoiled and cared for by every crew member.

■ Law will want your over all opinion though and as the child gets older kind of prefers to let the child choose when they want to swap out or to voice their opinion on whether they even like bouncing back and forth or not. He’ll have no hurt feelings if you or the child want to be together more often.

■ Sometimes he can even prefer for the child to be with you and the Strawhats if things begin to get dangerous or he knows he’s going into something dangerous, that goes for you to because he’ll want the child to be safe no matter what so if things are going to be dangerous and there’s going to be a fight between someone and the Strawhats he’ll be there to take the child.

☰ Law

■ Hates for you to have to deal with any aspects of the pregnancy alone especially to handle giving birth without him, it’s why he really won’t like being away from you while you are pregnant. It’ll have to be for something really important for him to leave you while you are pregnant particularly when you are so far along.

■ Irritated and concerned to find out that you had to give birth without him and he can be very annoyed and angry towards whoever or whatever took him away from you where you had to go through child birth without him. Which means if he was helping someone during this time, he can be hostile towards them for a while.

■ More than anything he just wants to know that you are okay and the child is okay and as long as there were no complications and you and the baby are fine, he’ll relax pretty quickly. That doesn’t mean he’s happy that he missed the child birth but he won’t dwell on the fact as long as everything went smoothly.

■ He’ll want to be with you and the baby as soon as possible so as soon as he finds out about the news he’ll want to be with you, which its likely that he won’t hear news about you having had the baby until he arrives back from the mission or whatever took him away from you. This can also make him a bit panicked and concerned when getting to you, though surprisingly level headed considering.

■ Has a lot of questions for you “Are you okay?”, “What happened?”etc., he’ll want to see the baby and hold the child after checking on you and making sure you and the baby is alright. He’ll relax pretty quickly just being with you again and knowing that everything turned out alright, though he’ll still wish he had been there but he won’t make a big deal about it.

■ Doesn’t complain about not being there though he will feel bad about not being there for you doing the birthing process, but he makes sure to be there for you after especially for the next few days or weeks. He can also be rather uncomfortable about leaving you and the baby alone for awhile afterwards, not that he won’t but he can be hesitant about the idea.

☰ Gray

■ Likely won’t find out about you having the baby until he arrives back from the mission and he can be a little panicked or overly concerned about you upon finding out, especially depending on who tells him about you having the baby when he gets back home and how they go about telling him.

■ This means he can be in a hurry to get to you so when he does get to you particularly if you are still in the hospital he can be out of breath or at least it’ll be obvious that he ran all the way to get to you. His main concern will be if you are okay and if the baby is alright, and once you answer those questions, he’ll calm down a lot.

■ He’ll apologize for not being there for you because he really will feel terrible for not being there with you, even though there isn’t a whole lot that he could’ve done. But he’ll still wish that he could have been there for you to at least help comfort you and encourage you though out the process, he’ll feel guilty for awhile afterwards for not having been there almost to the extent of feeling like he has to make it up to you.

■ Wants to know how things went and if you named the baby which he really won’t mind if you did because it’s something, he would have talked with you a lot about ahead of time. Like what names you prefer and what names each of you like for a girl or a boy. And honestly, he’ll be content with any name you chose even if it was a new name that neither of you discussed beforehand.

■ Will hold the baby and seems to get attached rather quickly not really wanting to put the baby down for quite some time, in fact he can even come across as a little over protective and won’t really even like for anyone aside from him and you to hold the baby. Which can make him a bit hostile towards other even if they are friends or family.

☰ Law

■ Law tends to see more excited with more intellectual milestones such as learning to talk, learning shapes, learning to read, learning to tie their shoes, learning to write or draw. Because he will enjoy teaching his child different things like this.

■ He doesn’t show a lot of enthusiasm or excitement at least not like most parents do but that doesn’t mean he’s not happy and proud of his child because he will be and just has his own way of showing it.

■ This can mean he shows a lot more interest in his child as they get older and begin developing their own likes, interests and hobbies. But he will still be proud of any milestones they hit especially on time or early.

■ He also praises his child very often and can reward the child with gifts on occasion or other things like candy, toys or trips to different places like going to the Zoo or an Amusement park, Though he really doesn’t make a huge deal out of everything his child does or achieves, because he won’t spoil them over every little thing to the point where they become spoiled. He’ll want them to work hard and really feel like they’ve earned any gifts or trips they get to celebrate

☰ Mihawk

■ Shows more of an interest in the child’s physical milestones, learning to crawl, walk, run, jump and later on things like riding a bike, jump rope, hop scotch etc. that doesn’t mean he’s not proud of intellectual milestones, he can just show more interest in physical accomplishments.

■ Doesn’t show a lot of excitement towards any accomplishments, but he will compliment the child and show that he’s proud of them in more subtle ways. He will never gush over them and shower them with enthusiasm,

■ He can show more interest when the child begins showing an interest in hobbies and skills of their own like learning to draw or paint, or learning to play the violin or piano or even a combat skill like swords, archery or marksmanship.

■ Though he doesn’t shower his child with praise or show much enthusiasm he is genuinely proud of every achievement they make, and he is very encouraging and enjoys teaching his child, pushing for them to learn or make improvements.
