Are you going to do a play by play of your reaction to Chapter 5 like you did for Chapter 4? Because I really enjoyed reading your reaction to everything. :D
Iâd love to do that again! It was a lot of fun for me too, honestly, and I was happy to share my reactions with you guys.Â
Would you guys like me to do it like last time, where I post screenshots of texts that I sent to a friend, or would you rather I do posts as I go, and just reblog my own to add to it as I watch a playthrough?
(also, âbatim chapter 5Ⲡis the tag youâll want to avoid if you donât want spoilers in the foreseeable future)
Does Miguel have any abilities that keep him from being seen as crazy by the living? You know, like avoiding being seen/noticed when he's talking to a dead person?
Miguel: Though Iâve kind of noticed she seems to react to Hector a lot when heâs making funny faces. She shouldnât be able to see him⌠I think.
lavadog replied to your post: Scoobynatural theory: (spoilers ahead)
Good theory! The whole canât-deviate-from-script thing was exactly what I was thinking when they just casually brushed off the people getting murdered thing. And when the brothers first met the gang and asked to sit with them, it was almost like Fred froze for a moment at their unexpected greeting before defaulting into a friendly âYeah, sure!â
Thatâs what made me think of it. i was waiting for the freakout. the none-reaction was just...wait what?
Thank you
I know last nightâs post kind of came out of nowhere, and Iâm not generally one to voice things like that, and certainly not in that way. Not sure if thatâs a good or bad thing, but thatâs getting off topic.
I want to thank @pixelcat-101, @ginnyinindy, and @catlover4536 for liking last nightâs post. It was reassuring to know that you guys were hearing me.
Thank you @moonfoxgazer*, @lavadog and @squigglydigglydoo for your comments. You really helped ease my worries about whether or not I was backing myself into a literary corner. And to Squiggly specifically, thank you for the reality check. Iâve always known that original content is harder to get an audience for, but I think I needed to be reminded of that, so thank you.
And finally, thank you @wisdom325* and the anon who both sent me messages through the question submission. Thank you for the encouragement, and as I said last night, I understand if people arenât as interested in Defining Moments as my other work. Itâs a lot more niche, so I really wasnât expecting it to be as popular as my BatIM stuff.
Either way, thank you all for responding. It means a lot to me.
*For some reason, you guys didnât show up in the tagging system. I donât know if youâve disabled it for your blogs or if itâs something else, so Iâm sorry this post hasnât properly tagged either of you.

So I've been curious about something for a while. In your Inky Eyes, Golden Heart AU, is it just widely known by humans that demons actually exist? Because Henry seems to get a lot of people that probably shouldn't know anything about demons/resort to summoning a demon that summon him anyway. Like that nice old man that wanted to walk again or that lady who lost her cat.
I wouldnât say itâs widely known, but itâs definitely not a total secret. Finding the right information is relatively easy once you go looking, since demons have no desire to hide their existence from the world, seeing as how that would make the possibility of being summoned for deals much rarer.Â
Perhaps some of those people heard about demon summoning from a friend and decided they were desperate enough to give it a go. Perhaps they found an old book on rituals in their attic. Perhaps they overheard someone talking in hushed, secretive tones one day and just had to find out if that stranger was right. Perhaps they were fulfilling a dare, only to imagine everything they could do with a demonâs help. Perhaps they were stupid, or greedy, or curious, or desperate, or cruel, orâ well, yâknow. Human.Â

I donât know what you expected, but have a very tired Henry who spends this whole little ficlet asleep. Like with the Bagel Saga, this was very much a Challenge Accepted sort of moment. Enjoy! Â :)
