aqua’s whole water-themed motif matches really nicely with larxene’s electricity theme.

they just?? look really good together tbh??

they could be a slowburn enemies to friends to lovers ship with them meeting after larxene is recompleted as elrena.

because they would probably hate each other at first, but in time they could grow to understand each other better, become close friends, and eventually fall in love.

elrena is the type of person who’d rather most people just leave her alone, while aqua is the type to always try to help others and break down their walls.

so aqua would be the first one between them to try and form a friendship, and elrena would slowly start appreciating her efforts and her company and open up to her.

aqua would realize that elrena has suffered a lot in her life and hides her pain behind acting cruel and pretending not to care, while elrena would realize that aqua’s life isn’t perfect, she just has too much of a tendency to take on everyone else’s problems and pretend that everything is okay.

so aqua would be able to teach elrena to be a little less mean and be more honest about her feelings, while elrena could teach aqua to worry a little less about other people and more about herself.

they’d both end up admiring each other’s determination and strength so much.

elrena would probably fall for aqua first, but she wouldn’t wanna admit it because past experiences made her secretly afraid of having her heart broken.

aqua would develop feelings for elrena around the same time, but she wouldn’t think elrena felt the same, so she'd decide not to say anything.

so they would both just be mutually pining for a while before aqua can’t stand it anymore and confesses to elrena how she feels and then they start dating.

when it comes to romantic gestures, elrena is super confident and flirty but aqua is more shy and awkward, so elrena would almost always be the one to initiate physical contact and aqua would love it.

they’re both really touch starved because elrena was stuck without a heart, without the ability to actually feel affection at all, for so long and aqua was trapped in the realm of darkness all alone for over a decade.

so they’d love to just... hold each other and not let go. whenever they’re alone they’re constantly snuggling up to each other.
