Lapidot and Amedot shippers, in response to the post where I'm defending them: Lapamedot isn't that great/is not likely to become canon :/

Who in your OTP carries them from the couch/car to the bed?

Amethyst usually. Peridot sometimes when they’re younger. 

And who soothes the kids after a nightmare?

Depends on if this gems or humans. Humans, Lapis. Since she deals with nightmares a lot. Gems, Amethyst. Since she’s the only one that sleeps.

Who wants to throw out the car seat because the stupid thing won’t strap in?

Peridot

Who cries on the first day of school?

Peridot cries at the school. Amethyst cries on the way home or to work or wherever she goes after dropping them off. Lapis cries when alone. 

Gets the kids into the local sports team?

They all kinda don’t care what the kid’s hobbies are. Human!Lapis might talk about swimming while younger and that inspires the kid

And who’s the parent that gets way too aggressive at these games?

Amethyst is pretty supportive and loud for their kid. But Peridot will go to the ref and yell at them for being so stupid.

Who in your OTP lets the kids stay up and watch movies and who sends them to bed?

Peridot does both. Sends them to bed, and then the cute puppy dog come out and the kid asks to watch CPH, and Peridot immediately falls for it.

Who sneaks candy to the kids before school, whilst the other pretends not to notice?

Amethyst

Who is the parent that yells at the kid for being called to the principal’s office and who is the parent who yells at the principal?

They all fight the principal in their own way

Who teaches their son to tie a tie and whoExplains periods to their daughter?

Amethyst

Who reads the book in silly voices?

Amethyst on purpose. Peridot is already silly.

Who’s the one against sweets before dinner and who lets it slide?

Peridot tries to be against it, but Lapis and Amethyst don’t care. And again, Peridot is easily persuaded by puppy dog eyes.

Who gets rid of the monster in the closet and under the bed?

Lapis. Gem!Lapis will flush out the monsters. Human!Lapis will go under the bed or in the closet and fight the monster herself.

Which parent sneaks veggies into the kids’ dinner and who doesn’t like veggies themselves?

Peridot tries to be sneaky. Lapis will be upfront and explain why it’s good for you. Amethyst doesn’t hate veggies. She actually kinda likes them. They’re just not her favourite.

Who in your OTP does the “hurt my baby and I’ll kill you” speech when their kid brings someone over?

All of them. Amethyst is direct. Peridot doesn’t look threatening enough. And Lapis will pull them aside, smile the whole time, and scare the shit out of them

Who goes on all the rides with the kids because their partner gets queasy on rides?

Not to force down people’s throats.

People don’t have to ship Lapamedot if that’s not their cup of tea.

Come on guys, this is supposed to be the good ship that stops the anger of Amedot vs Lapidot.

Because there is not enough Poly representation.

Steven Universe is the show that represents the things that don’t usually get represented.

And we hardly see healthy poly in media.

Usually it’s something like a guy goes to the bar and sleeps with a bunch of girls (also usually this guy is ‘cured’ by monogamy by the end of the series or movie or whatever.)

Greg, Rose, and Pearl seem to have had a poly relationship. But that wasn’t a healthy one. Rose just did what she wanted.
