So I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about under-appreciated lance, don’t get me wrong, I’m not disagreeing with you but.....

IT AIN’T ALL ABOUT HIM PEOPLE!!!

I’ve seen post about how the paladins are “ignoring lances death” or “not dealing with his insecurities” and honestly I -kinda- think it’s bullshit. Because every single character on the show has their own insecurities, every character has their own roles, own story’s, and their own problems.

For instance, Hunk. He feels scared and lonely, he thinks he’s the only paladin who isn’t 200% about saving the universe, the only paladin who is unsure and wishes he wasn’t a paladin, obviously a part of him sees it as a burden. Here’s another example, Allura. She badly wants to become a leader like her father, she feels responsible for the slaughtering of the alteans and the sabotage of lotor. Want another one??? How about HAGAR, she’s a character battling with her (low-key alter ego???) honerva and feels guilty for betraying her own son lotor.

See? Every. Single. Hoe. In this show has problems.

Y’all are really pushing it with the “death wish” crap, because I dont think any paladin of voltron has a death wish. Y’know why? BECAUSE ITS A HECKING WAR AND OF COURSE PEOPLE KNOW THEY’RE PROBABLY GONNA DIE. Lance pushed allura out the way and saved her, he technically died and YES, he volunteered to do so but what makes you think he WANTS to die?? When there’s a situation where it’s either death or miraculous luck obviously there’s nothing anyone can do, so what’s he gonna do??? Flail around like a idiot? I think N O T. When Keith was willing to sacrifice himself to break that barrier thingy (I don’t remember what ItS CaLLeD MkAy ItS 4 Am) he obviously didn’t want to die, he thought the importance of others lives was above his own. which is not an unusual mindset in war. Plus knowing Keith it was probably atleast 70% impulse.

I saw this post where someone was shading people for saying hunk held the team together and insisting it was lance and honestly, n o. If you want to prove a point then do that but don’t be nasty to other people.

I’m not saying that lance doesn’t deserve better, because I think he does. But it isn’t just about him, the other paladins of voltron aren’t being dicks to lance, he’s not simply a victim, it’s hecking war and ain’t NOBODY got time to talk about crap like that.

Seriously guys I’m not trying to be rude, but I don’t understand why you keep insisting lance is the only character who’s “under-appreciated” or “Ignored”. He isn’t a special snowflake that deserves extra love, affection, and treatment.

He’s one of the main characters, not the only star of the show.

Obviously not addressed to all lance stans because I stan lance (honestly I stan all the characters let’s be real) but it seems some certain lance stans are getting SALTY over NOTHING.

So don’t complain about the paladins JUST ignoring lance because honestly everyone’s ignoring everyone, that’s how disappointment goes my friends.

And that’s the tea.

THATS what I mean when I say “Just admit you hate Keith already.” 

Do all shiro and lance stans actually hate Keith? No of course not. 

Does taking away all his talents, skills, personality, and growth as a valid leader of voltron still harm, diminish, and disrespect his character? Yes It Does. 

Your actions speak louder than words. And if your actions are complaining every time another confirmation of Keith Leading comes up because it gets in the way of Shiro or Lance/your fav, then you don’t actually like Keith very much do you?
