A few! I have a lucidity and lack thereof AU with @flinxypie because it’s fun to see how power bites back when it’s getting in your head and our favourite little test subject is none other than Nexus who is good at making things exponentially worse for himself before they can get better.

Exploring the effects of the negative star power is definitely something we were interested in - its addictive properties, what it does, what it can do (some power over life and death, some power over dreams and minds, a whole voidscape full of what ifs and memories that messes with everything it touches), its connection to the void and the wither dragon, the way it gets in your head and makes it hurt and where it begins and Nexus ends (also wither storm/dragon Nexus is a thing).

It’s as much about villainous trio shenanigans as it is about redemption - mentally dissecting the fascinating ball of identity issues that is Nexus, Dark Sun and Ruin and how those identity issues intersect when they all end up working on the “same side”. I mean we’ve got a Moon who is no longer a Moon and can no longer stand the emotional baggage that he started out with, a Sun who is “just a Sun” who couldn’t take his dynamic with his Moon any more and now has to come out on top of this whole Suns vs Moons equation, and a Sun and Moon combined who’s been fighting for survival his whole life and had to do horrible things to get where he is. They are reluctantly curious about each other in this whole thing.

At the same time we badly crave the fam fighting hard for Nexus - and that fight will not be easy, it takes both sides to bend and both sides are incredibly stubborn when they wanna be. There are a lot of setbacks along the way. A loooot. Also a lot of team ups when bigger things pose a threat.

What? I don't regret anything. Someone had to do it.
