Yet here is a woman who raised herself up to the pentacle of what it was to be a business owner and a spiritual leader given hope to others. it was said that every year when she did her ceremonies on Saint John the Baptist Eve, 12 trains would have to run from New Orleans to the bayou where she held her public rituals. Such was power of her voodoo. Yeah at the end of her days she was a loving mother, a businesswoman and a woman who helped free female slaves by purchasing their contracts.
