Mick in those stills is supposed to be khan, who was a 20th century dictator who took over most of the world during a war in the 90s, then was put in suspended animation for his crimes, and the enterprise crew woke him up and left him on some deserted planet after he tried to take over the ship. this leads into one of the movies where he tries to get revenge on kirk, which is where the scene mick is recreating comes from

“That’s a good look on you,” Iris chuckles as she makes her way to Kara, the girl bending down over a pot of flowers in their garage.
Kara sits up. “What, covered in fertilizer?” She gestures to her gardening apron which indeed is covered in petals and fertilizer. She grabs the pot and sets it on a nearby table then she leans in to hug Iris and give her a sweet kiss.

this MUST be a “this actress has other engagements right now” thing right like...how else could this happen.... yes these writers are incompetent but i don’t think they usually entirely forget that characters are--wait a minute. yes they absolutely do. never mind.
