I LOVE the idea of SAM getting his own physical platform but also consider: a robot body that has appearance adaptability so that it can change to look like anyone. So someone (Roekarr, terrorist, etc.) demands to speak with the Pathfinder alone, you can send in the bot looking like Ryder and is controlled through the Ryder/SAM link so for all intents and purposes Ryder and SAM are there but neither one can actually physically suffer damage So SAM has a platform he can technically occupy as he pleases butvit also serves a functional purpose for the Initiative 

I think it’s a great idea for many reasons (including strategic) and we know infiltration units can work well. You should write a fic :D

But I also really want SAM to have a platform Ryder can’t control at all, I just wonder about the impact it would have on them and the Initiative. Maybe doing this *after* the symbiotic relationship is realized means it’s going to create less issues? I don’t believe that SAM will suddenly become homicidal but it will mean SAM will no longer just depend on Ryder to develop their personality. Their relationship with other people will also change. EDI commented on this, people forgot she was everywhere on the Normandy and went to her platform to speak to her. They saw her differently. It would be the same with SAM.

1. What’s the first element of your OC that you remember considering?

She was my second inquisitor, and I wanted to play a mage because melee targeting in this game is bad.

There was also a lot of interpersonal bullshit happening at the time with some people I’m no longer friends with; among other things, I had pretty much had it with the way they were talking about aspects of the Dragon Age universe that I found fascinating. So I decided she was going to be a devoutly Andrastian pro-Circle mage who, through a long series of events and bonding over trauma, was BFFs with Cullen.

18. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?

Thedas is even more of a hot mess powder keg after experiencing her and Vivienne as Divine in rapid succession.

(Mayyyyyybe we don’t have the woman who’s convinced she’s an actual prophet of Andraste sit on the sunburst throne, guys. Even if she’s right.)

The only thing that concerns me about severing the link between Ryder and SAM is that I think Ryder at least (maybe not all the other Pathfinders) is so interconnected with SAM now that Ryder may not be able to survive completely separating the two. At least in the beginning of MEA where Ryder had to be rushed to SAM node because they were struggling to accept the connection made it seem like directly linking them to SAM was the only thing that saved their life.

So it'd be great to see SAM fully realize his own self but I'd be really concerned about what that would do to Ryder
