Hi darling. Ok, so… I slid apologize for not putting this under the cut, but I’m on mobile.

My parents have stayed at The Inn at Venice Beach years ago. It was inexpensive, walking distance to the Venice canals, the beach, Venice Boardwalk, and a handful of decent restaurants. It’s been a very long time since they stayed there, so check out recent reviews just to be sure. But the area is good (Venice Beach) and the other hotels nearby are much more expensive (like The Ritz-Carlton). Most people who live by the beach joke that there never go east of Lincoln Blvd (which is literally 7 minutes from the beach. But if you stayed there you’d be easy driving distance to Santa Monica and up the coast to Topanga Canyon, Temescal Canyon, hiking trails, some fun casual restaurants on the beach like Duke’s or Back on The Beach

The financial district is downtown LA which will put you near a few museums (MOCA, Natural History, Science Center, The Broad etc). It’s pretty dead in the general area after business hours/the weekend because it’s mainly a business center, except for places like Santee Alley but there are also a lot of good restaurants and you’d be closer if you wanted to go to Pasadena or Los Feliz, for example, which have plenty things to do/places to eat. But you’re not near the beach at all. On the weekend it could take you 45 min to an hour to get there (and then pay for parking).

The only hotels I know in Santa Monica are the really expensive ones because I’ve been there for drinks or brunch etc. I know there are inexpensive ones sandwiched in between the fancy ones, but I can’t say anything about them, personally. Santa Monica is nice, but besides the beach, it’s mostly The Pier which is basically a small amusement park, The Promenade (shopping/restaurants) and it’s pretty crowded/touristy. I also think there are just nicer places to go to the beach that aren’t as crowded at Santa Monica.

If you want to be closer to Beverly Hills, years ago we had friends who stayed at The Avalon and it was really nice, and inexpensive for the area. Again, check more recent reviews. Beverly Hills is sort of centrally located, so you can get to the beach probably in 30/40 minutes, and downtown in about the same time (just remember LA traffic is really unpredictable). You’re also close to Rodeo Drive and the shopping that that area has (fun for looking, not fun for your wallet), and good restaurants.

Last, I’ve heard Farmer’s Daughter is nice. I have terrible reception where I am, so I can’t check prices, but my SIL has stayed there and she doesn’t like to spend much on hotels. It’s basically across the street from The Grove which is a nice outdoor mall with good shops and restaurants. It’s also near LACMA (art museum), Melrose Avenue and Third Street which both have lots of great shops and restaurants, like The Avalon, it’s pretty central, so easy to get anywhere from there.

Exactly! I have never seen platonic male friends film each other in this way. The way Dele films Eric…it’s like Eric is the center of his world, the only person he sees in that moment. The fact that Dele films Eric in this way—and so often—speaks to his palpable romantic attraction to Eric since the very beginning.

(2/2) very rude and that they did not understand why discussions about masculinity would be a part of their brand (when their own mission statement includes changing the convo on masculinity). Anyways, the producer, confused as Archewell wanted the meeting refused to give over the deck and advised the company they worked for not to engage with them further. This is why they're not doing anything--because nothing is, in their minds, perfectly on point with their brand and getting a bad rep.
