"i didn't have a meeting marked down in my calendar." leia says, hardly looking up from the paperwork on her desk, knowing who it is closing the door without needing to. how in the stars did he always find the worst times for her patience to just pop in? was that even something someone could sense in the force or did the universe just constantly need to remind her that he was her own personal devil in this life? "what do you need, sheev?"

"sorry, did we have an appointment?" leia looked up as her door opened, eyes meeting the other as she entered. "usually my assistant announces when i have visitors, so i apologize, i'm a little thrown. can i help you with something?"

"you say one word about me being here with han and i'm making sure the entire bar knows to not serve you." leia pointed at her sister, despite having just handed winter a new drink. "that'll be your last one, i swear to the maker, winter." she knew neither her nor ahsoka would let it go, that was for sure, but still. she had to try.

"you are more than welcome to just go and enjoy yourself, you know that, don't you?" leia said as she watched her friend, knowing that she took her job seriously, but it was a night off for most of them. leia wasn't going to say anything if her agents wanted to have a drink or two. "are you here with anyone?"

"xenia." leia started as soon as she saw her sister in law sprawled out on her throne, waiting at the end of the dais with a raised eyebrow. "you know you're not allowed to sit up there. thank you for keeping it warm for me." she laughed a little, despite the seriousness in her tone.

"doesn't all of this just.. feel a little barbaric?" leia leaned over to ahsoka's ear as the joust continued, doing her best to keep a straight face with the sound of the lances hitting shields. all of this was new. new and uncharted territory and her family all seemed as though she was the one who was lost in all her confusion. "is it really necessary for us to watch it?"
