Summary:

This story takes place about 3.5 years after the GPF in Barcelona during the off-season. Yuri is still dealing with his grandfather’s death and Otabek wants to win some more brownie points to make him feel better.

Summary:

This story takes place towards the end of the off-season (roughly 3.5 years after the GPF in Barcelona). Yuri spends some more time with Victor and Yuuri visiting the latter’s family in Hasetsu when him and Otabek find out which Grand Prix events they are assigned to.

Summary:

This story follows the events of the GPF Final in Vancouver, pretty much exactly four years after Yuri and Otabek met in Barcelona.

Summary:

Contrary to popular beliefs, Yuri Plisetsky has a family. It’s messy and as far from average as he has ever seen but he isn’t alone. And after all, family doesn’t end with blood, at least he’s not going to let it end there.

All is Fair in Love and War by babybirdi - 30k, M (WIP)

Summary:

Yuri Plisetsky is fourteen and a top student attending Yakov’s Academy for the Gifted in Leningrad (modern day Saint Petersburg) when the war arrives. His mentor and idol, an officer for the Soviet Union and graduate of Yakov’s Academy, Victor Nikiforov, appears in the early hours of the morning to whisk Yuri out of Leningrad to safety, accompanied by Yuri’s fellow student, Mila.

All does not go as planned. Mila and Yuri are separated on their journey, and Yuri finds himself alone in a foreign country for two and a half years, trying to make his way home to his Grandfather in Moscow all the while. Unbeknownst to Yuri, Yakov and a group of Soviet Officials are searching for him with the intent of dragging him right back into the center of the war. Except Yuri does not want to go.

What Yuri needs is a hero. What he doesn’t expect is the one he gets.

In the Land of the Wanderers by alpha_hydra - 26,2k, T

Summary:

“You have to use your Instagram more if we’re going to be friends, Altin,” Yuri warns when Otabek assumes Yuri is only waiting for Nikiforov and Katsuki to finish groping each other. “It’s no fun otherwise.”

Later, Otabek thinks of Yuri every time he pulls his phone out, and that’s really where it starts.

Watch The Young Hearts Fade by kiazareni - 70,9k, T (WIP)

Summary:

Yuri is forced to deal with a lot of issues from his past, when after five years of silence, Otabek is suddenly back in his life. It might be just what he needs to move on, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t hard, and sometimes, Otabek doesn’t make it easy either, especially when Yuri’s feelings for him resurface. He refused to go down that road once before, but he is not sure he is strong enough this time.

He had long unfollowed most of his skater friends, Otabek among them, because he didn’t want to see the pictures of practices and ice shows, the videos of a new jump they’d learnt, or group photos during competitions he was no longer part of. It wasn’t surprising that he didn’t know about Otabek being in Russia, but it still would have been nice to get a little warning somehow.

I think part of it is that Keith himself is a fair amount of a smart aleck. Like- I do read Keith as someone with social difficulty- he also tend to be caught wrongfooted when trying to be really sincere with people, but he also definitely has attitude and sass to go around. Lines like “we could toss out some non-essential weight,” are not prompted directly by Lance being sassy first.

Part of it is his personality. Part of it is just how he relates to people.

1. I am always curious and looking to learn something new, whether that be just a different perspective, or a strange fact I never knew.

2. Whatever it is that causes people to start conversations and tell me their stories. On planes, I have sat next to some truly interesting/amazing people.

3. In my work, I am probably overly cautious, but also exact. This was part of why I loved being an editor.

4. That part of me that is excited by the simplest things.

5. My curly hair. It took a long time to like it, but I love it now.
