Ragnar

You're in the great hall alone, humming to yourself as you remember a dance from back home. Slowly, you begin moving to the rhythm. Lost in thoughts, you don't notice Ragnar sneaking up to you until he already has his arms around your waist.

"Is that how they dance where you're from?" he whispers in your ear, swaying along to what you'd just been dancing.

"Do you like it?" you reply cheekily.

Ragnar chuckles. "Who wouldn't?"

You turn around, boldly staring at him. "Want me to teach you?"

"You'll teach me?" he asks. You nod, smirking.

It's safe to say you end up somewhere else...

Lagertha

It's been another long day in Kattegat and Lagertha wants nothing more than relax and soak in a bath. She's ready to close her eyes and forget about the day when she hears humming outside her door.

Lagertha opens her eyes and sees you, the one that magically appeared one day. The one from the future.

Curiously, she slips over her nightgown and quietly opens the door. She expects to chuckle, but Lagertha only feels heat rush to her cheeks.

You have your back to her, swaying from side to side in tune to whatever song you're humming.

"Are you dancing?" she asks and you whirl around.

"I- yes." you reply, slightly blushing. She smiles at your reaction.

"Invite me next time." she replies, already disappearing to go back to her bath.

"Wait!" you call. "I could teach you some dances."

Lagertha is a quick learner, but she's a good teacher too and the two of you end up dancing the night away.

Bjorn

Bjorn fell in love with Porunn when he watched her dance, so seeing you dance was bittersweet.

A farmer had brought you to Kattegat, saying that you were mute and dim-witted. Bjorn wasn't sure what was true about you though.

You were singing quietly wiping the table as you danced by yourself.

"You aren't stupid, are you?" Bjorn asks.

Your head whips around abruptly, and you stop dancing. You lie your head sideways, almost like a dog. Your eyebrows knit together.

Bjorn has to admit, you are very cute.

"Well," he says, waving his hands, "don't stop because of me."

You blush, but you seem to comprehend and continue dancing. Suddenly, you rush towards him and guide his hands.

Bjorn realizes you're attempting to teach him. He lets himself relax and forget his worries as the two of you dance to the sound of your voice.

Ubbe

Ubbe is glad that you settled into his longhouse. He cannot imagine what it must be like to be in such a situation as yours.

Foreign melodies float through the door of his house. Ubbe slings his rabbits over the shoulder as he pushes the door open.

Your strange device lies on the table as you dance, eyes closed and a slight smile on your face.

Ubbe has to chuckle. At the sound of his laugh, you stop, startled. The song continues playing over the phone though.

"You look very beautiful when you dance." he compliments.

"Thank you." you mumble.

"Would you dance with me?" Ubbe invites. Of course, you oblige, the game of his last hunt already forgotten.

Hvitserk

Hvitserk is too cheeky for his own good, you should know that by now. Yet, when he asks for something from the future, you can't resist his smirk.

"Fine." you say, tapping the song on your phone. A familiar beat fills the room.

You can tell that his greedy eyes are on you watching. Almost, you blush.

Hvitserk jumps up, and you barely manage to open your eyes before he barrels into you, pushing you against a wall.

He wants to watch you dance again and again but can't help interrupt himself.

Sigurd

It's awkward between the two of you. You sit in the Great Hall while everyone else has left, probably to get Ivar to calm down.

Your norse wasn't good enough to follow the conversation so now you sit here, with him.

"So..." you begin, "you play the Oud?"

Sigurd looks up, still looking slightly annoyed. He nods.

"Cool." you sigh. Please say something dude

"Do you play an instrument?" he asks and you shake your head.

"I do dance a little though." you reply and he nods to you. You push the bench away from the table. After humming the tune a few times, Sigurd can recreate it on the Oud well enough.

He smiles as he watches you dance.

"You know, if you ever got tired of princehood, I'm sure you could become a traveling musician." you joke. His smile gets even wider, and you think it's the first time he's genuine about it.

Ivar

He watches you dance and attempt to teach a very drunk Hvitserk, who dared you to do it in the first place.

It's times like these when Ivar especially curses his legs. He wishes he could just stand up and dance with you too.

You're out of breath when you sit back down next to him.

"Did you enjoy yourself with Hvitserk?" he asks bitterly.

"Yeah it was fun." you reply carelessly, grabbing your cup. You stop when you see his expression.

Suddenly, Ivar feels your hand grabbing his.

"What are you doing?" he asks.

"I have to make you forgive me somehow." you reply, leading him to his room

Ivar's eyes are filled with awe as you dance, only for him this time.

Harald and Halfdan

The new thrall is a curious thing. Still sporting a bruise from a fight the day before, the new servant hums as they clean the table.

Unlike the others, this one refuses to bend. A bad thrall, but entertaining.

The seller gave the thrall away for almost nothing, saying that they'd been nothing but trouble. Not understanding any known language and seemingly not understanding any basic work, with pride matching that of the brothers.

"This one isn't what they seem." Harald nods. Halfdan agrees. They watch from the shadows as the thrall wipes the table clean.

When they begin dancing, both brothers' eyes flit from the thrall to the other.

"All spoils go to the winner." Harald announces, before quickly walking towards the thrall.

Kalf

You're strange. Unlike Lagertha, he can't figure you out. Apparently, you came to her farm after Ragnar first sailed west. By now, you're like another child to her.

You dabble in everything, not settling for a trade. You can fletch arrows, know basic herbs, fight a bit and weave a bit, but you never seem to settle on anything.

Now that Lagertha has gone away for a bit, Kalf uses his chance to get closer to you.

What surprises him is your dancing. It's foreign, but Kalf can't take his eyes off you.

"Why do you keep watching me?" you ask him. He thought he was being sneaky. Apparently, he was wrong.

Your voice is still colored by a slight accent, but that only adds to the allure.

"Can a man not admire?" he replies, walking closer.

"Dance with me." you challenge. For once, Kalf doesn't know what to say.

Kwentrith

Kwentrith is fascinated by Lagertha, but you, you put a spell on her. She's heard the rumours.

The one that travels through time, the one that's from the future.

As if that wasn't enough, you were Lagertha's most loyal warrior and on top of that, Kwentrith saw you dance after you'd gotten slightly drunk at the feast.

Kwentrith liked to dance. It helped her forget about everything else, made her feel light. But when you danced, it was different.

She almost storms up to you before she manages to stop herself, but you've heard her.

You turn around, and her breath catches. She's confident, but you aren't just some transaction. She wants you to like her.

"I dance too." she admits, almost shyly. You smile lightly.

"I'd like for you to teach me a Mercian dance sometime." you reply, taking another sip of her wine.

Then, Kwentrith can't stop herself and surges forward, placing a kiss on your lips.

"You have put a spell on me." she whispers.

"So have you." you reply, already pulling her away from the crowd.
